Summer is coming to a close. My son is headed back to school this week. This was our first summer in our new home. This is our second summer back in California too! How is your summer? We’ve been busy trying new recipes and making homemade beauty goodies! Get ready for our Chocolate Chip Walnut Bars!

This summer, I learned to balance my time between housework, blog, social media, and fitness. There were times when I recognized that my son needed to get out, we both did, so I would go for a walk. I made it an adventure for him. We walk by 3 playgrounds on our walk, depending on the distance. Many times, we only went by 2 playgrounds. Regardless, he’d play on each of them for about 5-10 minutes! We usually went for a walk in the morning before it would get too hot and the playgrounds were empty!
This week, we made Chocolate Chip Walnut Bars! These are perfect to make and share with friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc! I plan on making a batch to share with my son’s teachers!

The Chocolate Chip Walnut Bars are the perfect combination of nice sweetness and crunch! Looking for more fun recipes to try? Be sure to stop by our Mint Chocolate Swirl Brownies and Chunky Monkey Brownies recipes! As always, any one or combo of these snacks make great treats for any get together! Make a batch of each to share with family, friends, and co-workers! These also make great homemade gifts!
