Protect Your Skin From Harsh Winter Weather

Protect Your Skin From Harsh Winter Weather - EO Body Lotion French Lavender and The Jojoba Company Australia Hydrating Day CreamBeauty Brite Disclosure

As we embrace all things fall, the whispers of winter aren’t too far behind. Before you starting complaining about it being too soon, hear us out first. We’re not talking about getting the snow shovels and rock salt ready, we’re talking about getting your skin ready for the cold.

Winter can be harsh, especially on your skin. The lack of humidity can make you feel like you’ve turned into a dry, parched desert. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered from head to toe with a review of two great skincare products that will help you get through those cold winter months.

EO Body Lotion in French Lavender

You know how some people can feel a storm coming in their joints? Well, I can feel the weather changing on arms, hands, and legs. As winter approaches my entire body goes from dry to super, extreme dry. My skin craves so much more hydration than usual. Luckily, I’ve found exactly what my dry skin needs in the EO French Lavender Body Lotion.

Formulated with Jojoba and Olive Oils, the EO Body Lotion absorbs quickly into my skin without leaving it feeling greasy. Plus, additional ingredients like Mango Seed Butter, Chamomile, Calendula, White Tea Extracts, and EO’s Organic Herbal Blend of Aloe help to seal in my skin’s natural moisture barrier, provide added nourishment, and support my skin’s health, all while leaving it feeling incredibly soft. And the lovely scent of French Lavender soothes my soul and leaves me feeling oh, so calm.

EO Body Lotion Swatches

I’m also soothed by EO’s motto of “Love Life. Live Clean”.  Actually, it’s more than a motto, it’s also the philosophy EO lives by. It means their products are never tested on animals, are non-GMO and gluten-free certified, and contain plant-based ingredients and pure essential oils. Even their packaging is environmentally conscious (100% PCR bottles).

Made in their U.S. based certified organic facility, EO Products also don’t contain any:

  • Synthetic fragrances
  • Artificial colors or dyes
  • Parabens or phthalates
  • Sodium laureth sulfate

I couldn’t love this brand more. Over the past few years, I’ve become more conscious of what I put on my skin. I’m no longer content in using just any lotion, serum, moisturizer, etc. Instead, I find myself reading labels more closely looking for organic and natural ingredients, as well as for brands who are more environmentally conscious. EO Products check the boxes on all of my ethical wants and skincare needs.

After using this lotion for a little over a week, my skin is already feeling less like a lizard and more soft and smooth. I’m looking forward to trying out EO’s full range of products in the future. To read more about EO skincare, check out our previous Ageless Skincare Collection review.

The Jojoba Company Australia Hydrating Day Cream

Facial hydration is important at any age because when you meet people one of the first things they notice about you is your face. The Jojoba Company Australia offers this wonderful Hydrating Day Cream that I have just fallen in love with! It smooths on so nice with a creamy texture and absorbs fast so I can get right on to applying makeup without having to wait very long, at all.

I didn’t think much about my skin when I was younger because I have been blessed with good genes. But, as I am aging it’s something I notice more and more. Not only because of my age but also because I have begun to notice some uneven areas in my complexion due to things like fine lines and darker skin where I know I’ve had sunburns in the past.

In addition, I am increasingly noticing small round dry spots popping up on my forehead and eyelids, for example. So weird. I have no idea what causes these because they are not big, but if I happen to scratch them they become really noticeable to me. So much so that I will flake the dry skin off and rub moisturizer into that area trying to fix it. I haven’t noticed any of these little dry patches of skin in several weeks now, which is unusual. This makes me very happy!!

The Jojoba Company Australia Hydrating Day Cream

Because of these reasons, I have been trying out different facial moisturizers to see what a difference taking care of my facial skin can make when I look in the mirror to judge my appearance. I have used The Jojoba Company Australia products before, like their awesome Jojoba Bead Facial Cleanser, which features jojoba beads that exfoliate skin naturally and are biodegradable and pose no harm to our oceans or species that live in and rely on them.

In addition to 100% natural jojoba, grown on the company’s farms in Australia, other ingredients found in this deep skin moisturizer include green tea and olive leaf extracts, skin calming chamomile, collagen boosting beta glucan, vitamins B & E, and skin firming Siberian ginseng. This blend of ingredients not only hydrates skin but also helps to protect it from environmental contaminants and is proven to increase the production of elastin by up to 97.5%. All of their products are suitable for all skin types, though some are targeted specifically to certain skin concerns.

What you won’t find in this product:

  • animal products
  • harmful detergents, chemicals or parabens
  • PEGs, mineral oil or sodium lauryl sulfates

The Jojoba Company Australia Hydrating Day Cream

Great for daily use, The Jojoba Company Australia’s Hydrating Day Cream will help you keep your skin looking great and feeling healthy. Check out the company website to see all of the different kind of products they offer to address a wide variety of skin concerns.

One product that I would love to try is the Natural Pigmentation Oil which addresses skin concerns such as age spots, redness, uneven skin tone and pigmentation. Another fabulous product it from this company is their 100% Natural Jojoba + Rosehip Oil that offers intense hydration to the deep layers of the skin which can help with scars and stretch marks (among other skin concerns) due to the combination of antioxidants, vitamins A, D, and E and omega fatty acids 3, 6, and 9.

Which product would you most like to try? How do you get your skin winter ready?
