What is your favorite flower? I know mine is the lily. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve always loved the look of a lily, it’s seems so dainty and pure. For as long as man can remember flowers have adorned so many different uses for flowers. From weddings to funerals and everything in between, flowers have been a staple to culture. But did you know that every flower has a symbolic meaning? Let’s find out what your favorite flower means shall we?
Types of flowers:
Lily: Stand for refined beauty. This is why lilies are so prominent from the Easter lily to the lily of the valley. A perfect representation of purity and grace.
Roses: My mother’s favorite flower was always a yellow rose, which is embodied in the tattoo I have in her memory. The meaning of the yellow rose stands for friendship and caring ( and if you would have known my mother she was the best friend and most caring person someone could be ). While red roses represent strong emotion such as love or desire. Black roses are for farewells.
Sunflowers: Are a symbol of adoration. More and more within the past few years, sunflowers have really become a mainstream focus. Living in the country we are surrounded by fields on three sides and I’ll never forget the year they planted sunflowers as the crop. The fields are absolutely stunning. It was sunflowers as far as the eyes could see. It was a stunning sight and it made me realize how much people loved sunflowers.
Tulip: This dainty flower is a beautiful token of love. My grandmother always would have beautiful tulips growing every year.
Orchid: This flower is a representation of exotic beauty. It is also a representation of pride.

It means your doing better than me because I can’t keep plants alive at all!
My favorite flower is the Hyacinth. I love how you can smell them all over the house, even if you only have one flower in one room. They also look so delicate.
I always love red roses because of my favorite Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast.
