We were offered the opportunity to visit SeaWorld Orlando. We’ve been to Walt Disney World a handful of times, so visiting SeaWorld would be a new experience for our family. My husband and I have both been to SeaWorld parks when we were kids. My experience was so long ago that I really don’t remember, I do recall it was the SeaWorld San Diego park! My husband vaguely remembers visiting SeaWorld Orlando when he was in school.
We decided to visit SeaWorld on the last day of our vacation, June 17th. The weather was perfect! It wasn’t too hot like it had been all week! After visiting, I am definitely inspired and reminded to care for our environment and everyone who lives on our planet!
We entered the park not knowing the layout or what to expect. Our first impressions of the employees weren’t too favorable and it only continued on from there. They are not as friendly as you would see at another theme park. The only employees that were friendly and upbeat were the ones that worked around the animals. The employees at the ticket entrance and food stands really stuck out as being the unfriendly ones.
Not knowing where to go, our first stop was the Dolphin Nursery! I believe there were 5 dolphins to observe. We were so intrigued, even our son loved watching them swim around.
Our second stop was to look at the stingrays and sharks! It was so amazing to see both animals up close! I had no idea there are leopard stingrays. Did you?
We had a chance to touch sharks! They had a special display just for this! First, you had to stand in line, use sanitizer and then wait your turn to touch the sharks. Shark skin is rough and tough! I had no idea what to expect. I was too scared the little shark would turn around and bite me. As you can see from the picture, my husband helped our son with this. Our son has special needs and he is unpredictable.
We loved visiting the sea lions! They are so animated and talkative with each other and visitors! I took so many pictures too!
My husband ended up buying food so our son could feed them! Our son loves to throw things so once he realized he was feeding the animals, he had even more fun!
As you can see, the sea lions had to compete with the birds for food.
The sea lions were so eager to eat. They knew what to look for and when they saw you with food, they would climb up on a rock or ledge!
We stopped by to visit the Alligators, Manatees and Dolphins! The above picture of the dolphins is my husband’s favorite because we saw them making ring bubbles and then playing with them! The dolphins were so fast so it was a little difficult to capture their beauty.
Our entire visit to SeaWorld Orlando was walking around the park. When we happened upon something that caught our eyes, we would stop in. Our last stop was by accident! We happened upon the One Ocean Show with Shamu!
My husband wanted to sit in the soaked section! We sat at the side of the stadium where we could barely see the show. The majority of the show was in the middle section. Since we were in the soak section, we were at the very bottom, so all I could see is the tank and just barely above it. We got splashed a few times. As you can see in the above picture, my son and myself right after the show!
Overall, we had so much fun! We hope to visit SeaWorld Orlando again very soon! Our son loves animals and there were plenty of things to do and see!
You can find SeaWorld on their website, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

I love SeaWorld! Petting the stingrays was surprising but I don’t recall sharks. what a great experience.
My son was fascinated with sea life when he was a kid.
