I may not have a daughter, I still love girly things. I grew up watching My Little Pony and many other cartoons. While unicorns weren’t as mainstream when I was growing up, I do remember having colorful unicorn stickers, coloring books, and puzzles. I recently found some toy unicorns and decided to make my own unicorn soap!
Even as an adult, I am all about magical creatures, such as unicorns and mermaids! Looking for more mermaid inspiration? Check out our Mermaid Tail Cupcakes, Mermaid Tail Blanket, and the Mermaid Glass Bead Bracelet! As you can see, you’re never too old to believe in mythical creatures or add them to your life!
These cute unicorn soaps make great gifts for friends, coworkers, neighbors, family, or even as party favors!
As a single mom, I am always looking for ways to cut expenses or save money. It’s tough being on a somewhat fixed income, especially if you’re raising a teen boy on your own!
I never knew how easy it is to make soap at home! In the past, I’ve made my own soy candles and tarts because I loved burning natural soy candles!
I recently made a batch of Unicorn Soap and had so much fun. I had no idea how easy it is! The best way to store your soap is in cardboard boxes. I save old shipping boxes and keep my soap in there. You can also store them in shoe boxes. What a great way to reuse supplies you already have on hand.
Items Needed:
melt & pour goats milk soap base
lavender soap colorant
cherry soap colorant (Buy a variety of colors at Amazon)
small glass bowls
toy unicorns (you can find these at Amazon or Oriental Trading Company)

Unicorn Soap
Ingredients
- ½ pound pound melt & pour goats milk soap base
- 2 drops lavender soap colorant
- 2 drops cherry soap colorant
- 2 small glass bowls
- 6 silicone cupcake tins
- 6 toy unicorns
- 2 wooden stir sticks
- Rubbing alcohol in spray bottle optional
Instructions
- Cut the soap base and split between the two small glass bowls.
- Melt the soap in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir. If it is not completely melted, put it back on for 10 second increments, until fully melted.
- Add the soap colorant to each bowl, mix well.
- Pour into the silicone cupcake tins, alternating colors, until you’ve filled each tin about ½-¾ inch or so high.
- Place one unicorn into each, setting it down into the soap. Hold for a second or two to secure it in.
- Spray top of soap lightly with rubbing alcohol, to help prevent bubbles from forming.
- Let sit for about 30-45 minutes to let the soap harden.
- Remove from molds.

Magical Inspiration For Your Home
I may not have a daughter, I still love pretty things. I love having our own place, as I can decorate it as I please. My son doesn’t really mind how I decorate, he’s just happy having his own space too!
The Purple Unicorn Print caught my eye because I love her gold star on her face. I also love how her hair flows in the wind! She is just so magical looking!
I also chose the Purple Baby Butterfly Print because of the colors. She goes perfectly with the Purple Unicorn. I also love the gold edges of her wings! Butterflies have a special meaning to me because when my brother passed away, I wrote him a letter asking him to send me signs that he is watching over us.
Both art pieces make the perfect housewarming gift! Both of these will hang near my work space. Both are beautiful to look at. I wanted meaningful art, the unicorn and butterfly are perfect!
There are also adorable prints to decorate boys rooms too. The unique selection of prints make perfect gifts for new moms, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and more!
