I love having technology available with my laptop, smartphone, and tablet because it allows me to connect, communicate, and write no matter where I am. However, that being said, I still think it’s nice to have a dedicated writing space in my home.
Whenever I sit at either one of my desks (I have one in the mud room – pictured here – and one in my bedroom) for some reason I instantly feel more productive. There is something to be said for sitting at a desk where there isn’t a television around to distract me from my task.
To create this space, I have incorporated two items that I am currently enjoying very much. DIGIBUDDHA Personalized Stationery is going to give me the opportunity to take a step back to the olden days (lol) and actually write a real handwritten letter to my sister, while the Mobilevision Bamboo Desktop Succulent Holder will organize all of the paper and writing utensils that I use regularly and keep them handy for me to use.
DIGIBUDDHA has an entire line of stationery that is incredibly beautiful and can be personalized with your name for an added touch of elegance. It would make the perfect gift for those you know who love to write to loved ones. The one shown here is called, “Colorful Blooms.”
With all of the advancements in technology over the years, handwritten correspondence has increasingly taken a back seat to the speed and convenience of typewriters and then computers and mobile devices.
I used to have pretty handwriting, but now after years of neglect it’s not always so easy to get a good flow going when I handwrite anything. My hand starts to cramp easily, also. I hate that, especially when I think back to my younger days when I would spend hours writing happily, everything from notes to friends to poetry. It was a very enjoyable past time for me.
Not only is the stationery itself beautiful, check out the gold-lined envelopes that came with it. That’s fancy!
You can also find ornaments, holiday cards, foil art prints, mugs, greeting and thank you cards, calendars, recipe cards, wedding invitations, and a ton more on their website.
Of course handwritten correspondence requires paper, envelopes, pens, stamps, etc. I hate having to track that stuff down and get it together from all the little hidey-holes I have around my house. An organizer of some sort can be invaluable when it comes to keeping things together and organized.
This is the Mobilevision® Bamboo Succulent Plant Holder Desktop Organizer. (Say that three times fast, lol) I did buy a small succulent to put in it for a bit of greenery. However, my cats got to it before I had a chance to use it. I sat the plant on the kitchen counter after buying it, but had obligations away from home for most of the rest of the day. I came home only to find that they had not only knocked it off the counter, they had tried to eat it, I guess? It was in pieces.
I don’t have the world’s greenest thumb anyway, hence no indoor plants at my house. But, here’s what the organizer would look like with some plants in it.
There are a ton of ways to use these organizers. They are very sturdy and stay put on surfaces without being able to be pushed around.
So, here’s my mudroom writing desk area. I added a bowl of nuts and a nutcracker as well as a small vase with flowers. I love a snack while writing and the flowers add a pop of color and visual interest.
I have another Mobilevision® organizer. Here are a few ways I’ve found to use it…

Get creative, have fun and let me know what area of your home you could use one of these beautiful organizers for and what stuff you think you’d store in it! What do you think about the personalized stationery? “Gotta have it!” or do you know a budding writer who would appreciate it?
