Love coffee? The T526S Touch Brewer gives you a choice when it comes to wanting the convenience of a K-cup based machine but also wanting the option to brew either a single cup or a whole pot. I, personally, love this feature. It makes it more convenient to still brew only a single cup when I’m home alone working, but also have the option of brewing a carafe for those times when we have company.
Recently my in-laws came over for dinner. After our meal, we were enjoying my mother-in-law’s famous buttermilk pie and I just really wanted a cup of coffee to go with it. She also wanted a cup, though neither my husband nor my father-in-law was in the mood for a caffeine fix. The carafe was just perfect to brew both her and myself a beverage without having to use more than one K-cup and wait while the machine brewed two separate cups. The carafe is insulated, too, so the extra coffee stayed good and hot while we were sipping and gabbing about books and yarn. We each topped off our mugs and continued our discussion without having to take a break to brew more coffee.
I really like that you can opt for the Touch Brewer brand’s XBold and XLarge Cups, but any K-cup variety or brand that you like will be compatible with the Touch Brewer. The machine also comes with a Refill Jumbo Cup™ so that you can use any bag of loose coffee you like from your local grocery store. In addition, you have total control over how large or small a cup of coffee you want with this brewer’s seven cup size options ranging from 6 oz. to 18 oz.
The Touch Brewer features an extra large 90 oz. water tank and heats the water for your perfect cup of coffee in just 30 seconds from a cold start. The handle on the carafe is very sturdy and, of course, the lid screws off the carafe for easy cleaning.
I am really impressed with the sleek, modern design as well as the fact that though it doesn’t take up a lot of counter space, the reservoir holds a lot of water. We also have a Keurig machine and I really love the fact that I don’t have to fill the water tank on the T526S Touch Brewer very often. This is definitely a huge plus in my book because when I want a cup of coffee I want it quick, waiting around to have to fill the reservoir and then waiting for the cup to brew for a long time can be frustrating.
So far, I haven’t found a single thing I don’t love about this brewer. Filling the water reservoir is easy and its large size means I don’t have to fill it too often, it’s been easy to keep clean, and it brews a delicious cup of coffee quickly.
My dream has been to create a “Coffee Bar” area in my kitchen in a corner of the bar near the pantry. Up until recently, my husband has used this space to dump electronics, receipts, product manuals and other junk. It’s an eyesore and a hassle to get it cleaned out when we have company over as I kind of leave it to him. I don’t move anything from that area because I don’t want to misplace anything he might need, the most I have ever done with it is just to re-stack and try to sort of organize it so that it looks a little better. Since I now have the Touch Brewer and an espresso/cappuccino machine that my daughter gave me for Christmas, I told him I wanted him to clear out this area and find a place for his stuff. He did it without any grumbling since he was excited for my vision of a coffee bar, too!
So, here it is. No junk! Yay! There’s the Touch Brewer on the right, the espresso/cappuccino machine on the left and in the middle are the coffee syrups and a coffee bean grinder that were also part of the Christmas gift from my daughter. It’s still a work in progress. The next step is to rearrange some of my kitchen cabinets so that the cabinet that is above this one can be cleared out to hold coffee cups, a basket to hold the XBold and XLarge cups, the carafe (when not in use), the grinder (maybe?), bags of coffee and beans and other coffee-related items. I’d like to find a pretty coffee related wall transfer to apply to the wall behind the machines. Also I’d like to find some kind of knick-knack to have on the counter between the two machines and maybe even a nice bit of cloth for them to sit on to further decorate the space.
What do you think? Do you like the carafe feature in addition to being able to brew single cups?
