Today marks the 13th Anniversary of the September 11th attacks. Three years ago, I wrote a post detailing where I was at the time of the attacks. Do you remember where you were?

My husband and I knew each other back then, so we are able to talk about and share our stories of what we were doing. It is nice to have history with someone and we can share our side of the story. We were not together as a couple at the time, but we were co-workers and we knew each other.

I would love the opportunity to visit the 9/11 memorial museum. It would be a great way to connect with the families and victims of that day. My husband and I lived through September 11, 2001. We were a part of history, and there is a museum just for that day.

Every year, when 9/11 comes around, my husband and I talk about that day. We like to remind ourselves where we were and what we were doing. We both worked at the same place at the time. That was a different time. The economy was good back then. Today, the economy is still not the greatest. Jobs are still scarce. Companies and employers are more picky with who they hire. It is a completely different world these days.

Like last year, I will be at work. Of course, I will set aside some time to reflect on that day. I cannot imagine the loss for the families.

What your September 11th story? What are your memories? Do you have people in your life that you can share and talk about it with? If you have not already, take the time to write down your memories of that day. It is a nice way to go back and read what you wrote and you can always add to it each year.
