Beauty Brite Disclosure

Spring is almost here, which means it is time to freshen up your hair and skin care products! Every new season, I like to go through my collection and discard any expired products or products that I no longer need or use.

I tend to let my long hair air dry. I usually wrap my hair in a microfiber towel for a few minutes which seems to decrease drying time. I am so thrilled to try the Aquis Waffle Luxe Hair Towel to dry my hair. I love the length of the towel, however the width could be a big wider. I only need to wear the towel for a few minutes! With the Aquis Waffle Luxe Hair Towel, I wash on a low cycle, cold water and allow to air dry. I don’t find the need to wash the towel after every use either.

I rarely have the time or energy to style my hair. However, when I do, I do like to curl it or put it up in a pony tail. The Scunci Hollywood Half-Up is a great idea to give yourself a nice up-do at home!

Having long hair, I like to add volume. When I curl my hair, I also like to add volume to my roots! The Infiniti PRO by Conair Ultimate Root Booster Large Round Brush is perfect for just that. I can boost my roots and my curls!

When Spring comes around, skincare is just as important. My face does not need a heavy moisturizer anymore. I stick with a cleanser, serum and moisturizer. I also like to keep my look fresh throughout the day.

I start my day with cleansing and then moisturizing my face. The MALIN+GOETZ Recovery Treatment Oil is gentle on my face and absorbs quickly. I then follow with the DDF Advanced Firming Cream which is not heavy or thick at all. Surprisingly, the cream absorbs in just a few minutes. I apply both the oil and cream on my face, neck and decollete in the morning and evening. I added both products to my skincare regime with no issues. Both products work fine under my makeup as well.

The Makeup Drop

I have heard of the latest makeup craze of using a silicone makeup applicator because it offers less wasted product. I had to give it a try. I had high hopes! Would the silicone makeup applicator be a game changer?

After attempting to use the The Makeup Drop only a few times, I am disappointed by the results. The first time I tried using the applicator was with my pressed powder foundation. There were no instructions, so I tried apply my makeup without adding water and I quickly found out that didn’t work. I ended up reaching for a regular makeup brush to apply my pressed powder foundation.

The second time I attempted to use The Makeup Drop was with my liquid products that include: Primer, CC Cream and Foundation. First, it felt odd applying my primer with the silicone applicator. After a bit, my primer started to flake up on my face! I then tried the CC Cream and Foundation.

What a mess.

My makeup didn’t even set into my skin, it just sat there on the surface, so my liquid products just make my face look wet. I’m sticking with my makeup brushes.

Lumene Sisu Defend & Replenish Antioxidant Mist

I like to freshen my look throughout the day. I like using Lumene Sisu Defend & Replenish Antioxidant Mist as it smells divine! I only use a few sprays on my face and neck and it dries quickly. I can also use a few sprays on my arms. I use the Lumene Sisu Defend & Replenish Antioxidant Mist over makeup, throughout the day and even at night. It sprays with a fine mist and does not leave my skin feeling sticky at all. It feels refreshing! It is travel friendly (TSA friendly) and I can easily keep it in my handbag when we are out and about.
