Here’s the email we sent to Fairfield Inn & Suites Cherokee:
To Whom It May Concern:
My husband and I used to work in the hotel industry so we can be selective with what hotels we stay at.
My husband, son, and I recently stayed one night at your hotel, in Room 208 (Reservation #XXXXXX) for the sole purpose of getting away for a bit and having a little fun! We were really impressed with the cleanliness of your hotel (inside and out) and the parking lot! Your front desk/office staff were very friendly, even those who weren’t helping us. The front desk agent who checked us in was very helpful and personable to us while we were checking in. She even called us about 10 minutes after we arrived to our room to make sure everything was okay. The only thing we needed was conditioner (there were two bottles of shampoo but no conditioner). The front desk agent said she would have it for us at the front desk for us (which she did)! I was happy to see that the shampoo and conditioner was by a brand that I use: Pantene!
We booked our reservation through a 3rd party website and when we returned home, we discovered we were charged by the 3rd party website and also by the hotel! I waited a few days and called to fix the issue. Sally answered the phone and I asked for the “accounting department” and she took control of the call and asked how she could help me. I told her my situation and she asked for my name. She saw the mistake and let me know that she would take care of it that same day! I would like to say that Sally did a great job handling my call and taking care of what I needed. I would also like to thank the front desk agent who checked us in, I didn’t catch her name, but she was very nice!
Thank you to the Housekeeping staff for keeping the hotel and hotel rooms so clean!
Thank you again for our pleasant stay! We have always liked the Marriot brand and used to be a Silver Elite Rewards member (#XXX XXX XXX)!
