The Past Catches Up

The past finally seems to catch up with the characters of One Tree Hill in Season 9. Clay learns he has a 6 year old son that his memory blocked out after the death of his wife. X is released on parole and Brooke struggles to deal with running into him everywhere. Dan hopes to reconnect to his family and struggles to redeem himself as his past crimes have not been forgotten by his family or the town.

I don’t let the past catch up to me.  I stay out of the drama.  After my husband and I had been dating for over a year, we decided to relocate to another city and state.  This allowed us to leave our former exes and drama behind.  We left the chaos.  Like Brooke, we wanted to avoid running into our past.  Although, I do miss my family and not being able to live near them.

I can’t really think of a time that my past has caught up with me.  I am married and a mom.  I have recently returned to college after so long.  I am reminded of homework and trying to organize and schedule my time around my school.  Now that I am married and a parent, I have deadlines to meet with school.  I am left to face trying to succeed in school and get good grades.  Just like when Clay discovered he had a 6 year old son and learning how to be a father again, I must learn how to be a student again.

We really don’t have a social life and we don’t really know anyone where we live so the past doesn’t have a chance to catch up with us.

One Tree Hill Season 9 is now available on UltraViolet. Buy it
