I’ve been on quite the health kick lately, and thanks to a few items that were sent to me, it’s made cooking a lot easier. These aren’t life-changing products by any means, but they help make cooking quick meals a little easier and actually makes me want to continue eating healthier foods.

Cooking A Healthy Breakfast

I’ll admit I’m not the best when it comes to breakfast. Really the only time I eat breakfast is on Sunday and one day during the week as an excuse to get out of the house. Cooking a healthy breakfast is a lot easier than some may think.

The Good Cook Egg Separator is a little larger than other separators I’ve used in the past, which makes things so much easier. I can’t tell you how many eggs I’ve wasted because my teeny tiny separator didn’t work properly. When I go out, I never eat egg whites since they typically charge $2 extra. So when I’m home, I only make egg whites.

The Good Cook Cast Iron Skillet is insane! It’s huge and crazy heavy. I was afraid of dropping this, not because it could break the tile, but it could probably break my toe! This makes cooking eggs so much better. Nothing stickers, and it’s super easy to clean. For cheat days, this is larger enough to cook pancakes and French toast. There are cleaning instructions that are important to follow.

Healthy Cooking – Quick Lunch

I do work from home so I have access to everything in my kitchen, however, I don’t want to spend a lot of time making lunch. Doing this will either make me skip lunch or get fast food… neither of which I want to do.

The Lettuce Knife cuts the lettuce perfectly. I actually prefer using this than tearing the lettuce, mainly because I don’t like large chunks of lettuce in my salad. This may not be a must-have for a lot of people, but it works great and I’m able to make my salad exactly how I like it.

The Egg Slicer is really nice to have if you enjoy hard boiled eggs in your salad. Most places and people will just cut the egg in half. I actually prefer slices. This is just a personal preference. Again, this isn’t a necessity unless you want small pieces of your hard boiled egg in your salad.

The Salad Spinner is absolutely amazing! I love that I can put all of my ingredients in there and just start spinning. It mixes everything nicely and pretty quickly. When I would mix my salad before, I’d tend to make a bit of a mess… I never do with this. Healthy cooking has never been easier than with this product.

Healthy Cooking – Enjoy the Desert!

Okay, this is a healthy cooking post, but it’s okay to indulge a little bit. I’ve read that if you cut everything out that it’s easier to give up the healthy diet than when you have a snack once in a great while. My favorite is, of course, ice cream. I don’t really have a sweet tooth, and I’m not big on chocolate anymore. Even during the winter months, I can’t resist a bowl of ice cream. The Trigger Ice Cream Scoop is a nice thing to have to make scooping out ice cream easier. I actually put this on my list of things to get when I move so I’m pretty excited to be able to cross that off my list.
