The last days of school are approaching which means that our kiddos will officially be ready to start summer. With Summer brings new adventures and lots of free time. I have four children ages six, four, two, and six months so let’s just say I’m always looking for something fun to do.
Let’s get Summer started!
I have always loved to travel. When I met my husband, he and I always found ourselves going out of town every other weekend or so. We were young and it was so much fun to just head out for a quick weekend away. Even after we had our son, we took him to visit Disney World a few times. We always prefer to travel by car. It was easier for our family since we can stop as often as we needed.
When it comes to being a single parent, I am all for making life a bit easier for myself.
I don’t have time to mess around or waste time. I like my quiet time. I value the time I have during the week I have to work. I try to stay busy but I also make the effort to take time off from work.
I knew parenthood would be rewarding and amazing, however, being a single parent is a bit different. I don’t have the support and help I used to have.

When my son was diagnosed with Autism, it wasn’t as quite a shock.
You see, we had some inkling. We also had to wait 3 months to see the doctor to finally diagnose him. The doctor’s office had us fill out several pages about our son. The forms also had a section for his teacher to fill out as well. For our appointment, the doctor really didn’t observe him, she went based solely on the forms we filled out to diagnose him.
As a parent to a child with autism, I quickly embraced our new normal.

Hello 2018 and Happy New Year!
Being a new parent is hard, being a parent to a new baby when you have three others is really hard and exhausting. With that being said, adding a baby that has special needs brings a whole new challenge. I’m constantly looking for things to help improve our daily life and make things easier.
Since our recent move, I’ve been doing my best to rebuild our aromatherapy supplies. I like to keep an oil diffuser in each room we spend time in. Living healthy with aromatherapy is possible! I keep one going just to keep our air clean and fresh. I also like to use essential oils to keep my son from getting sick or reduce his symptoms. He does not take medicine, so I rely on aromatherapy.
