I Start My Day With Tea

I Start My Day With Tea

Earlier this month, I decided to cut down on my coffee intake! I literally have stopped drinking coffee throughout the day. Since then, I have had a few of the blended ice coffee drinks from a fast food place but that is about it. When I did drink coffee, I found myself having on average 2-3 cups of coffee a day! I was drinking more and more because I kept feeling tired, exhausted and needed that boost.

I Tried To Avoid Yoga

I Tried To Avoid Yoga

Honestly, when I think back, I tried to avoid yoga. I avoided it because I thought everyone was jumping on the band wagon and I try not to follow the crowd all the time. Years later, yoga ended up landing in my lap. I received a DVD and I admit, I was curious. I tried the DVD and got dizzy after doing only 20 minutes of it. I thought the poses were long winded and I believe the entire workout was 50+ minutes. At the time, I found the workout to be too slow for me. I was accustomed to doing cardio and pilates type workouts.

How We Dealt With A Big Shift

How We Dealt With A Big Shift

I had just switched jobs and ended up quitting that job. I went back to being a full time stay at home mom, wife and blogger. My husband was able to get full time hours at his job. I Feel Disconnected From My Family

I Feel Disconnected From My Family

As a blogger, sometimes I feel obligated to get my work done first. I enjoy working during the week while my son is at school and my husband is asleep. It gives me the time to focus on my own thoughts. I like to stay updated on social media, emails and my “to do” list!

I Feel Obligated To Be Available

I Feel Obligated To Be Available

As a wife and mom, I definitely feel obligated to be available at all times. Being a mom never takes a break, unless of course your child is at school! I love when my son is at school because it gives me some quiet time to get work done. When he is home with me, he can take up so much of my time and energy. He always wants food or to play throughout the day. He is not the type to leave my side to go play on his own very often.

Why I Switched to Self-Hosted WordPress

Why I Switched to Self-Hosted WordPress

I’ve been blogging for over 13 years now. During the first 8 years, I was only blogging for fun. Blogging was my way to share my life with my family. Over the years, I started a few blogs to share freebies, making money online and more! When I started Beauty Brite, I quickly learned that I should switch to WordPress. Of course, I put it off because I was scared. I was already used to using blogger. I was scared of the learning curve involved with wordpress.
