It’s Dyspraxia Awareness week and with my son being newly diagnosed, I am making it a personal goal to both educate and advocate for those who have Dyspraxia.

Dyspraxia is a Developmental Coordination Disorder that can affect one’s gross motor skills, motor planning, and coordination. There is a lot of grey area when it comes to a true diagnosis of this condition due to the fact that it often mimics other disorders.

This Diagnosis is also usually accompanied by other disorders ranging from ADHD, Sensory Processing, Autism, and Anxiety just to name a few.

Did you know that 31% of those with learning issues, such as dyslexia and ADHD, are more likely to be bullied than their peers?

In the year 2019, we are raising more awareness than ever when it comes to causes we believe in. Whether it be equal rights, a cleaner environment, or even education. I believe young minds are most open during their youth. Why not use this as an opportunity to raise awareness about Learning Disabilities too?
