The Wendy Mignot Triple Slider Freshwater Pearl Anklet – Multicolor is available in 9-1/2″ or 10″ lengths, containing 6-7mm round multi-color freshwater pearls that vary in color, but may include pearls of White, Rose, and/or Lavender. The pearls are strung on soft, hand-rolled leather, which is then tied with care.
This anklet is very beautiful and strong. Though Wendy Mignot designs have been featured on the cover of Vanity Fair and she has designed pieces for A-list celebrities, her designs are not meant to be reserved for special occasions. Rather, the pieces are meant to be beautiful enough for those special occasions, but strong and practical enough to be worn on a daily basis, as well.
To care for the pearls, it is recommended to put these jewelry pieces on after makeup, sunscreen, perfume/cologne or using hairspray. You should wipe the pearls gently with a soft cloth before storing them away in the jewelry pouch (included with purchase) between wearings. Storing the jewelry in its pouch will help protect it from rubbing against other jewelry or abrasive surfaces, ensuring your signature piece will last for many years to come.
My anklet came with a small container of Shea Butter, which (being that I don’t know a lot about leather jewelry) confused me a bit. I thought it was lip balm at first. However, after I read the included care instructions, I realized that it was included to be used to condition and preserve the softness and durability of the leather.
While this fish tank is about as close to the water (fresh or otherwise) as I’m likely to get for at least a few weeks until we get our boat cleaned and primed for heading to the lake, that will not stop me from wearing this beautiful piece of jewelry all summer long and beyond. And you can bet your life that when my family takes our next vacation back to Destin, FL (where I used to live), I will have this gorgeous piece of jewelry as the very first item on my To Be Packed list!!!
