The same year I had my son, I started using mineral makeup. There was a lot of buzz on television for the natural makeup that was good for your skin. Following that, there were many home businesses offering mineral makeup.
I was drawn to mineral makeup because it looks so natural and feels lightweight on my skin. I remember the very first time I tried the foundation. Since I was used to regular pressed powder foundation, I realized I used way too much mineral foundation!
The first time I used mineral foundation, I applied one layer and could barely see it, let alone feel it, so I applied a few more layers. After a bit, I realized I didn’t have to apply the foundation so heavily.
That is what I love about mineral makeup, it is lightweight, budget friendly and you only need to apply it once a day. Mineral makeup is gentle on the skin, sweat proof, made from natural ingredients and stays in place.
Never tried mineral makeup? Interested in trying another brand of makeup? Here are a few products to achieve healthy and flawless skin:
Natural looking coverage
Finding the right shade is easy. I used the shade descriptions found on their website to determine the shade that was right for me.
This was my first time using liquid foundation. Ever. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Would the product be goopy, sticky and heavy?
My first time using the Mineral Fusion Liquid Foundation was a breeze! The directions state to use your fingertips to apply the foundation. The best way for me to apply the foundation is dispense a small amount on two fingers and dab on my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin.
I then use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply and blend the foundation into my skin. Another option is to use a blending sponge or foundation brush you have on hand.
The Mineral Fusion Liquid Foundation covers my flaws and imperfects so perfectly. I can barely feel let alone tell I have foundation on. Since I’ve been wearing the foundation, I find it to be sweat proof. It is hot and humid and I feel so sticky when I am outside sweating! Wearing the foundation feels great and my skin can breathe.
I do want to mention that I wish the Mineral Fusion Liquid Foundation had a better dispense method, such as a pump. The way it is now seems messy and wastes a lot of product.
Don’t forget the sun protection
I like to wear sunscreen, especially in the summer. I really should wear sunscreen every time I go outside.
The Mineral Fusion SPF 30 Brush-On Sun Defense is perfect to use for travel as well as everyday use. I love that I can throw it in my handbag and reapply the powder if needed.
I like the idea of a brush and powder in one product for convenience. Just shake a few times and you can see the product dispenses on the brush. From there, I apply all over my face. The SPF protects against UVA and UVB rays which I always look for sunglasses and sunscreen!
A dash of color
The Mineral Fusion Glow & Go 3-in-1 Color Stick is perfect for travel and I adore the multiple ways to use it.
First and foremost, you do not need a brush to apply this! I personally use it on my cheeks as a blush! I apply the stick directly to my cheeks and then use my fingers to blend.
The Mineral Fusion Glow & Go 3-in-1 Color Stick is quick and easy to use. No mess or fuss because it all blends in so well.
Nourish your lashes
I was sent Mineral Fusion Waterproof Mascara in Cocoa. Unfortunately that is not my color so I opted not to use it.
Be sure to choose the right color for you. I personally would use Raven or Cliff as my color choice. I admire that the mascara is infused with good ingredients such as Aloe, Chamomile, Argan Oil and Vitamin E.
