Get Your Skin Fall Ready

Get Your Skin Fall Ready

Beauty Brite Disclosure

I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for fall to start. Or, at least for these scorching temperatures to drop. As much as I love the long days of summer, fall is my favorite time of year.

Of course with the new season also comes new bath and body needs. It’s time to slough off all that summer sun, beach days, and poolside fun to get your skin ready for drier, less humid temps.

Thanks to Nu Skin, I’ve recently discovered a couple of new bath and body must-haves to add to my fall routine. The brand kindly sent me their Liquid Body Lufra, Perennial Intense Body Moisturizer, and Epoch Sole Solution Foot Treatment to try out.

Nu Skin Liquid Body Lufra

A good skincare routine starts with a great cleanser. I like to alternate between a body wash and an exfoliating wash to get my skin clean and polished. Removing dead skin cells helps keep my skin looking and feeling smooth, which is why I was excited to try the Liquid Body Lufra.

The Liquid Body Lufra is designed to gently deliver glowing skin by sloughing away dead skin cells and excess oil. I can’t actually say whether the product gave me glowing skin because whenever I used it I couldn’t really get past the scent. I will say that it does lather nicely and my skin did feel clean, but other that, I didn’t notice a difference.

Whether it’s the combination of ingredients like crushed walnut husks, aloe vera, and glycerin, or the addition of fragrance, the Liquid Body Lufra smelled awful. It reminds me of the scent my dad’s office used to have whenever he was taking impressions of people’s teeth. In his large office, the smell dissipated quickly, but in the confines of my bathroom, the aroma of the exfoliating body wash is overpowering.

Though the product also says it is safety-allergy-dermatologist tested, I do wish they would have left out the added fragrance and parabens, especially since they left out any additives and dyes. At least the fragrance and parabens are at the bottom of the ingredient list so at least I know they are only minimally used.

Nu Skin Perennial Intense Body Moisturizer

After trying the Lufra, I was a little nervous about how the Perennial Intense Body Moisturizer would perform. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised. In fact, this moisturizer is amazing. It has a light lotion smell and didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.

Formulated with scientifically proven IBR-Dormin, kukui nut oil, and kokum seed butter, the Perennial Intense Body Moisturizer is designed to reinforce your skin’s own defenses and protects against environmental factors.

Each time I used the lotion, my skin felt replenished with moisture, without being greasy. I even noticed an improvement in the places where my skin tends to be its driest, such as my elbows and legs. Instead of bumpy or irritated they were extremely smooth and soothed.

 Nu Skin Epoch Sole Solution

The final Nu Skin product I tried out was the Epoch Sole Solution Foot Treatment. Ranked by Total Beauty as being one of the best foot treatments available today, Epoch Sole Solution is designed to relieve dry, cracked feet from heel to toe.

Formulated with allspice berry, an ingredient frequently used by the indigenous people of Central America, as well as urea and papin, this foot treatment not only hydrates, it exfoliates and restores your feet. Like the Perennial Moisturizer, the Epoch Sole Solution also has a light scent which comes from the allspice berry.

My feet aren’t cracked at the moment, but when fall and winter roll around and I’m wearing more closed toes shoes, they definitely take a beating. The only problem I have now is that my feet tend to feel parched at night. I sometimes wake up because my feet fell like they are need of a drink of water.

I started using the Epoch Sole Solution at night right before bed and noticed the difference immediately. The thick, but not overly heavy formulation, absorbed immediately into my skin. My feet felt hydrated all night long and even into the next morning. Over time, my feet feel less dry and more protected from moisture loss.

Though I wasn’t a fan of the Nu Skin Liquid Body Lufra, I am looking forward to adding the Nu Skin Perennial Intense Body Moisturizer and Epoch Sole Solution Foot Treatment to my body care routine.  You can try Nu Skin products out for yourself by shopping the Nu Skin Website.

My skin and I have such a love/hate relationship. Usually it hates me for being so rough on it and then I get upset when its not flawless. lololz This moisturizer sounds perfect, though. I’m always on the hunt for a good moisturizer that doesn’t leave my face too heavy.
