I’ll be the first person to admit that I have quite the addiction to pop. Most of the time I do drink caffeine-free diet, but I always have to drink pop. Sometimes even three times a day. Every summer I keep telling myself that I’m going to cut back on the pop and start drinking more water. I’m sure you can guess that each summer it doesn’t happen. This is our first summer in California, at least for my son. For me, it’s been years since I’ve been back in California. This summer, I started walking almost every day with my son. This gave us a chance to get fresh air, exercise, and have fun!
I’m going to be honest with you. Swimsuit season completely snuck up on me this year. After I’d bought our family’s membership to the local water park, I realized in horror that my body was totally unprepared.
For the last few months, I’ve been making the effort to go for a morning walk right after I put my son on the bus. I am enjoying the beautiful weather, fresh air, and the great feeling after walking. I like to walk for the low impact health and fitness benefits.

I’ll be the first one to say that I don’t take care of myself the way I should. Not for lack of wanting to but as a mom of four little ones six and under, I usually just don’t have the time. Now that summer is almost here, I started walking and doing indoor exercises. Depending on the weather, I prefer to go for a walk to take advantage of the fresh air and sunshine!
