“You Never Know How Strong You Are Until Being Strong Is The Only Choice You Have .” – Bob Marley

Hi! I’m Katharine!

I’m proud to say that I’ve been a writer with Beauty Brite for about 6 years. I love all the incredible products I’ve been able to review over the years! It’s been a true blessing.

I have my CDA in Early Childhood Development and work for our local school district with an amazing group of kids. I’m blessed to be surrounded by incredible co-workers and teachers that have only grown my knowledge and skills. I’m working on finishing my Bachelors and then will move on to my Masters in Early Childhood Education. I love working with kids! I’m also an artist at our local artist co-op! I finally made the cut this year and I was so happy, I cried!

My family is everything to me. I love being a Mom to a spunky and sweet son! He inspires me to be better and work hard. I love his kind and generous heart. I adore the way he’s protective over his grandparents, loves reading and drawing, prays to God, shares without prompting, and dreams big!

I’ve been married to my best friend for 8 years. For the first few years of our marriage, we really struggled. It seemed as if all of the odds were stacked against us. In 2016, we nearly divorced. But we made a choice to fight for our marriage and get on the same page. It was brutally hard work, but we made it work. We now write a Christian-based blog together, offering advice and resources for other struggling couples. We’re blown away by the people we’ve met and how humbling this journey has been. Our family puts tremendous value in faith and family. We work hard and play hard together!

February 2020, I lost my Dad after a hard struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and Lewy Bodies. Watching his decline was incredibly difficult for me. My parents are a very active part of our lives and it was extremely devastating to our whole family. I’m learning to live in this “new normal” and processing grief. I believe it’s important to try and be there for others who are also learning to heal after losing a loved one. The world needs less judgement, and more loving and listening.

I enjoy spending time with friends, game nights, date nights at the winery, classic movies, reading good books, crafting, writing, eating at local restaurants, shopping, traveling, walks at the nature center, festivals, good coffee, singing, cooking, and reading the Bible.
