Tropical Breeze

Tropical Breeze
Beauty Brite Disclosure

I love drinking smoothies, slushies, and mixed drinks. However, most of them are incredibly high in empty calories and massive amounts of sugar. Unhealthy treats are fine every once in a while, but not ideal for everyday drinking. When you prepare a drink at home, you have more control over exactly what goes into your drink and the calorie content. You can prepare a delicious cocktail with fresh ingredients and lower calories.

Pinnacle Vodka Pineapple Simply Orange Mango Strawberries Ice Sugar

When I worked as a car-hop at a restaurant, I gained a lot of experience making smoothies, limeades, and slushies. The drink recipe I’m featuring is a mix-up of a Sunshine Smoothie, Sonic Sunrise, and my own creation. I’ve named it,” Tropical Breeze.” I enjoy creating drinks that reflect my personality; bright and happy.  I am all about tropical vibes in my daily life.

Blend ice Ninja

My recipe for Tropical Breeze has only a few ingredients and is very simple to make:

  • Ice
  • Simply Orange Mango Orange Juice
  • Strawberries
  • Pinnacle Pineapple Vodka
  •  (Optional) Fresh whip cream and a strawberry slice, to top it off at the end.

For this drink, I wanted to create a slushie cocktail without all the sugar. So, I used a Kitchen Pulse Ninja to get the job done.

The first step is the ice; I hate ordering a Margarita or a Daiquiri that is too watery. To avoid this, I blended my ice first and added an ounce of the Simply Orange Mango Juice at a time. By putting only an ounce of juice in at a time, it helped the consistency stay thick and delicious when I added the other ingredients in.

As you can see, the top of the orange juice and ice mixture is really thick. I used a spoon to stir the blended ice mixture. Please be careful of the blades in the blender.

Once you have successfully blended the ice mixture, it should be a smooth consistency. Next, I cut my strawberries into quarters and put them in the blender too. To eliminate having big pieces of strawberry, I cut them into quarters, so they’d blend easier.

Once this is fully blended, you should have a nice, thick consistency. Lastly, I added Pinnacle Pineapple Vodka and blended. Pinnacle Vodka is my favorite vodka for mixed drinks; it adds the perfect touch of flavor and sweetness to any cocktail!
