Tibetan Singing Bowl

Tibetan Singing Bowl

When I was asked to review a Tibetan Singing Bowl from Silver Sky Imports, I had no idea what it was.  After doing a quick search, I knew I wanted to review the product.  I was sent a gorgeous Tibetan Singing Bowl to review.

Tibetan singing bowls are used with meditation, yoga and healing.  Since I enjoy yoga, natural healing and quiet time, I wanted to try sound therapy.

I received a beautifully decorated 6” Tibetan Singing Bowl in red and gold.  It comes with a bowl striker tool and cushion.

The bowl sounds pretty and peaceful.  The sound creates a soft but intense hum that lasts for several beats.  The bowl catches my son’s attention and loves helping me make the bowl sing.  You can see in the above picture that he could not wait to get his hands on the bowl.

The bowl creates a peaceful and relaxing environment.  My body is also able to feel restful.  The sound can help heal my body overall.

While not in use, the bowl makes a pretty display on a bookcase, shelf or desk.  It easily blends in with any décor.  I have it sitting in the corner of our living room.

I love the colors of my bowl.  My son loves the color red as well. Red and gold are bold colors.  Red is said to symbolize good fortune and joy while gold signifies good luck.  Being Asian, I love having Asian themed decorations.  It reminds me of my family that live on the opposite coast! The bowl and the colors remind me of my Asian culture.

You can find Silver Sky Imports on their website, Facebook and Twitter.

  1. I have heard so much about these, and would love to get one. I love an Asian motif, too, though I am not not Asian. Thanks for the review….I think I will treat myself!
