Disney On Ice

On December 3, 2015 my 4 year old son and I were given the opportunity to see Disney on Ice Celebrate 100 years of Magic at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, NC. Neither one of us had ever been to Disney on Ice and were not sure what to expect. We were given seats that enabled us to see the characters clear and up-close. Mickey Mouse appeared as the lead storyteller along with Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck. Hundreds of children screamed, “Mickey Mouse” every time he had his turn on the ice. It was impossible not to smile and feel like a kid again.

In 2010, I had to fly back home from NC to CA. The last time I had to fly was before 9/11, I believe it was 1998 when I went to Hawaii. In 2010, I did not have a smartphone, nor had any experience with the new TSA procedures. The airport was a whole new world to me. To get through security, I had to remove my shoes and remove my laptop from my carry-on bag. Everything had to be put in separate containers on the conveyor belt. There were charging stations at every terminal, so people could charge their phones or laptops.

The in-laws arrived

The in-laws arrived two nights ago.  They were staying with us for two nights while they were waiting for the movers to unload the U-Haul.  They moved to SC two years ago and we moved to another city here in NC.  They decided to move back to NC and now they live a few doors down.
