Getting Clean and Safe Water When Supply is Limited

Beauty Brite Disclosure

These are definitely uncertain times we’re living in right now. It’s almost like being in a science fiction movie, isn’t it? Due to COVID-19, our state has ordered all residents to shelter in place. Many other states are also ordering people to do the same.

In Michigan, this means that we are expected not to leave our homes unless we’re getting groceries, seeking medical attention, aiding a family member, or working in an essential field. Our governor has also requested that people get groceries delivered when possible. For nearly three days, I tried to order groceries. A lot of the supplies I had requested were out of stock, which was very frustrating. I quickly learned that water is one of the essentials that seems to be in shortest supply. How can we find clean and safe water when supply is so limited? I had to get resourceful with other options.

Water filtration systems are a great thing to have in your house, whether you’re in quarantine or not. It’s much more cost effective than purchasing countless jugs or bottles of spring water. In addition, it’s also far better for our environment. Less plastic in our landfills is much better for our planet.

When water is in short supply, water filtration systems allow you to make plenty for your family! I was even able to fill up a few jugs of water for family and neighbors who weren’t able to get any from the local grocery store.

I’ve used many filtration systems, but my favorite by far is the Aquasana Clean Water Machine. I actually love this machine so much, after I reviewed mine, I purchased one for my mother.

Aquasana Clean Water Machine effectively purifies one gallon of water at a time. I love that it removes 99% of lead and asbestos, as well as 96% of chlorine, chloramines and 73 other harmful contaminants.

In addition, it removes:

  • HEAVY METALS– like lead and mercury
  • CYSTS– that resist chlorine like giardia and cryptosporidium
  • ORGANIC CHEMICALS– like herbicides, pesticides and VOCs
  • PHARMACEUTICALS– like estrone and ibuprofen

For Alkaline water fans, Aquasana Clean Water Machine reduces acidic compounds and preserves naturally occurring minerals that improve water alkalinity and overall pH levels for optimally hydrating water.

The Aquasana Clean Water Machine is very easy to use. I’ll admit that I was intimidated by how impressive it looks. But it’s really very simple! Just fill the pitcher, place back into the filter dock, and the Aquasana Clean Water Machine will filter the water for you in about 30 seconds.

Here’s a informative video that shows you just how easy the Aquasana Clean Water Machine is to use:

The Aquasana Clean Water Machine is a good investment for you home, family, and health. Clean water helps our bodies operate at optimum capacity. This machine has been a life saver and made it possible for my family to get clean water while there’s been a massive shortage. We will continue to use Aquasana because it’s economically and environmentally smart. I highly recommend this for your household as well.

A Fun New Easter Tradition

When Easter comes around, my kids love 2 things; Easter egg hunts & decorating eggs. A day before Easter, I pull out all the egg decorating kits, cover my kitchen table with newspaper, and my kids get decorating. As a family we have so much fun. As a momma who is forever cleaning, I can only eyeball the mess. Yet the smiles & goofy fun they always seem to have, makes this activity a keeper & part of family tradition.

As with any tradition, small tweaks always make them more interesting & fun each year. From adding new ornaments to your Christmas tree or setting up new spooky decorations for Halloween, why not a new & fun addition to Easter?

Winter is fast approaching and it is time to find activities my son will enjoy indoors. We are big advocates of education and learning through play time. If you were to walk into our home it is not laid out with the newest technologies. We have the latest version of things but I have them put away. The first thing my son can see are educational toys. I feel this truly encourages him to play with them first verses electronic devices. Ever heard the saying “outta sight, outta mind”?
