Before I was married and had our son, I worked at a hotel in Downtown Sacramento (the same place where I met my husband). I had co-worker that I was pretty close to, we worked morning shift 4 or 5 days a week together, so we knew each other pretty well. I have a feeling she lived a “one-viewed” life. She got pregnant at 13 and had a baby at 14 and attended church. We had other differences between our lives but it didn’t keep us from being friends and getting along. We stuck by each other and helped each other during our shift. We could depend on each other.
We never really argued or disagreed with each other. We respected each other and did our jobs together. We genuinely cared about each other and watch each others backs, much like Rizzoli & Isles. You will see Isles show concern for Rizzoli and step out of her element to protect her (i.e. learn how to hold a gun and point). I don’t know about learning to use a gun, but I would certainly help out a co-worker, if they were true and honest towards me. If a co-worker treated me with kindness, concern, and trust, I would do the same. Over the years, I have realized that I unfortunately cannot trust every co-worker. When I find ones that I can trust, I guard and value that friendship!
