Only You: A Summery Romance

Only You by Denise Grover Swank

I admit it; I love romance novels. Sound the alarms! After all, romance novels are not usually listed among the world’s most esteemed pieces of literature (even though they can tell us a lot about different cultures’ romantic ideals), and several of them certainly do lack quality writing or unique plot elements. But I love them anyway, whether they’re historical Westerns or simplistic contemporary novels–and I’m certainly not the only one who does–so I was thrilled to receive an Advance Reading Copy of Denise Grover Swank’s new book Only You as a reviewer!… [read more]

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle
By Tom Venuto

About the book:

Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle teaches you the four elements of body transformation in his L.E.A.N. formula, including a fat-burning food plan that can be customized for your body type, a 28-day training plan for sculpting lean muscle, and the motivation strategies it takes to stick with your plan. The program is not about getting as ripped as a fitness model or becoming a bodybuilder like Tom did (unless you want to), it’s about using their secrets to achieve your own personal goals. Whether you want to burn 10 pounds or 100 pounds, whether you want to build muscle or look “toned,” Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle is the bible for fat loss. It’s the one must-have reference guide that will show you how to get permanent results the healthy, safe, and natural way, and you are sure to refer back to it for many years to come.

My Review:

I received an ARC copy of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle in exchange for my honest opinion.
I read through Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle in about a day. The book is full easy to follow directions on how to get back on track with fitness, nutrition and overall health. If you need a fun guide to follow, this is the book to read.

Venuto explains nutrition and how to get started with what to eat. He also explains in depth great exercises to use in your life.

I found this book to be informative and easy to read. He does not preach to you or tell you that you are a bad person. He encourages you! He inspires you.

After reading Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle, I am inspired to eat better and stay on track with my workouts. Right now, I am focused on a yoga workout schedule that works with my full time job. By the time I get home from work, I am so exhausted. Yoga helps me relax and unwind for the evening.

I have always loved fitness. When I found Tae Bo, I realized I loved to workout with fun music and inspiring people. I prefer to workout at home because I can customize my own schedule. I first discovered pilates when I was first married. I saw an infomercial and ordered the program. Since then, I have tried numerous other workout programs and now do primarily yoga for now.

To me, fitness is fun and keeps me energized. I love the way I feel after doing a workout. My mind and body feels greats when I am able to get the stress out with exercise.

Mommy Time-Out Means Mommy Can…
By Colleen Phillips & Feli Robles

About the book:

Mommy Time-Out Means Mommy Can… is a simple, photo-driven book that offers busy, overwhelmed mothers (e.g., all mothers!) fun and relaxing ideas of things to do and easy-to-use forms to help make sure their Time-Out happens. Feli and Colleen, mothers themselves, know that for moms, time is a commodity, so they put these ideas in pictures and kept the text short, sweet and to the point, not to mention witty! The women in the photos are not professional models but rather real moms who also understand the importance of a good Time-Out, because when mommy is happy, everyone is happy! The Neighbors Review

The Neighbors
By Ania Ahlborn

About the book:

Andrew Morrison sacrificed everything—his childhood, his education, and the girl of his dreams—to look after his alcoholic mother. But enough is enough, and now he’s determined to get out and live his life. That means trading the home he grew up in for a rented room in the house of an old childhood friend— both of which are in sorry shape.
