Beauty Brite Disclosure

If you have never heard of Carthusia, it’s based on an Italian island of Capri. They have 16 different perfumes and I received their very first fragrance called Fiori di Capri Eau De Toilette.

Lately, I’ve been trying to expand my perfume collection and open up to various different aromas. Just like in the dating world, we normally have a “type” same goes for my fragrances. I’ve been dating my hunny, Jason, now for over a year and he wasn’t my normal “type” but I’m madly in love with him even though he can totally get under my skin sometimes.

I’ve always been drawn to warm amber, woody, sandalwood, Oriental, and vanilla type fragrances, but I’ve been trying to venture out and try new things.

Fiori di Capri was first launched in 1990. The fragrance notes are wild carnation, Lily of the valley, oak, amber, sandalwood, and ylang-ylang.

When I first put this on, you can definitely smell the flowery notes and it has a bit of a powdery scent to it, if that makes sense. The powdery scent of it does fade away though. To me, I can’t smell the warm notes of amber, sandalwood, and ylang-ylang. It’s more of a clean and crisp type of perfume. It does fit in perfectly as a Spring scent.

Jason is used to me wearing my normal perfumes like Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison, Gucci Bamboo, and Victoria’s Secret Dark Angel so he immediately noticed I was wearing a different perfume and he liked it.

It comes in a 50 ml and 100 ml Eau de Toilette bottles and 50 ml parfum bottle.  They are a top twist off with no spray dispenser.

I apply this on my wrists, behind my ears, the base of my throat, and inside the bend of my elbows. A little bit goes a long way. I apply them there because our pulse points are closer to our skin and the body is warmer, enhancing the fragrance
I really enjoyed the Mediterraneo fragrance by Carthusia and the fact that it is gender friendly! I can leave this out on the counter and It can be used by anyone who may stop by for a visit or my boyfriend! The smell is a nice fresh blend of Lemon Leaves and Green tea! It does also have a citrus kick which gives it a slight sweet smell! It last all day and I have had many compliments and questions of what I am wearing! CARTHUSIA

I’m glad that this is now in my perfume rotation. Jason was definitely surprised that I tried something out of the norm.
