Do you enjoy drinking tea? Or are you a regular coffee drinker? I personally drink only tea and prefer non-caffeinated, if available. Other people, for example my mom, are huge coffee drinkers though Mom does love a cup of hot tea when she comes to visit me.
If you are new to drinking tea or if you are a seasoned tea drinker, you have to hear about a new brand of tea that I’ve discovered and am obsessed with right now. Inca Tea is one of the only teas in this country that is made with Puruvian Purple Corn.
I’m sure you are thinking to yourself “What in the world is purple corn?” I sure was. Well, it’s a very powerful ingredient that is apparently very beneficial to your health!! It not only reduces certain cancer cells, it also improves circulation, helps with weight loss, diabetes, lowers blood pressure, reduces risk of cardiovascular disease and it is an anti-inflammatory. It has more natural sources of antioxidants than blueberries and acai combined.
My favorite of the ones that I have tried is the Peruvian Spiced Berry, though they are all delicious!! I enjoy this tea first thing in the morning and sip on it throughout the day. I have even had it before bed and because it is caffeine free you won’t have to worry about it keeping you up late at night.
The box comes with a little tear strip opening that makes the individual packets easy to just grab one in the mornings. Each packet is good for 2 servings so it is reusable. These sachets are also 100% biodegradable so I like to save them to add to my compost bin, an added bonus.
If you’re into loose leaf teas, then I would recommend trying the Cusco Chamomile. It is a calming combination of chamomile, citrus fruits, hibiscus and vanilla. This is great and I have even gotten my hubby hooked on this one, although he likes to add a shot of his favorite scotch to it at night. I was shocked that he liked it only because he never drinks tea!
If you’re a seasoned tea drinker like me, or if this will be your first time trying it, you can’t go wrong with any variety from Inca Tea! Enjoy a cup and drink to your health!
These teas can be purchased at the Inca Tea website, as well as at Bed Bath & Beyond and Amazon or try their handy Store Locator function to find a retailer near you that carries their products and see a list of large chain stores where you can also find them. To keep up with the latest news you can also follow Inca Tea on Facebook and Twitter.
Which variety would you most like to try?
