Rock The Vote 2016

Rock The Vote 2016

It’s finally here. Finally! After what, to some, seems like forever Election Day is here at last. The 2016 Presidential Election cycle has created a lot of feeling among the people of this great nation, that’s for sure.

Whether you’ve felt elated and happy or depressed and distressed, the day is finally here when all Americans have the opportunity to make their voices heard. Voting in elections, presidential or otherwise, is one of our greatest rights as citizens of the United States of America. Make sure you get your two cents in by getting out to your local polling location and casting your vote for President as well as down-ballot races and the various other initiatives that might be on the ticket in your area.

I am a firm believer that if you don’t vote then you have no right to gripe about the outcome. No matter how you feel about your choices this election season, be happy and thankful that you DO have a choice and that you DO get to freely express that choice.

I’m not here to campaign for a certain presidential nominee, though I have known for some time how my vote will be cast. No matter who you support, no matter what your political affiliation — GET OUT AND VOTE!!! It’s important, you are important. How you feel and what causes and issues you support are important. Don’t waste your opportunity to make a difference.

There were a lot more people than usual at my local polling location, though everyone was kind and courteous. Let’s keep it civil and allow everyone to freely cast their ballot. As crazy as this election season has been, the process still deserves our respect.

I Voted! Did You?

Currently interviewing to return to my career working with juveniles in foster care and/or with cases in the district court system after taking time off to raise my own children. Avid animal lover who cares daily for our dogs, cats, fish, rat and chickens. My MIL says I need a cow for fresh milk; I say No Way!!! (LOL) Hobbies include listening to music, reading, writing, blogging (a new passion), watching TV (Homeland and True Detective are new TV-drama obsessions) baking, cooking, crafting, crocheting, and cross-stitching. I'm a laid-back mama who prefers not to micro-manage the lives of my family (though I feel sometimes like they micro-manage mine as my schedule mainly consists of coordinating all of their schedules). But, I love it and wouldn't have it any other way.
