Philip B. Botanical Multitaskers

Beauty Brite Disclosure

When I was presented with the opportunity to try Philip B. Botanical products, I quickly agreed. I had no idea which products I would receive, so it was a surprise until I received the products. I received sample products to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

About the products:

Anti Flake Relief Shampoo: To itchy, flaking scalps, this delivers lasting relief. And used in the shower as a spot treatment for dry skin, psoriasis or “chicken skin” on the upper arms, it’s just as brilliant.

Russian Amber Imperial Dry Shampoo: A cult favorite, this lends limp hair major volume and a powdery-clean feel. With its luxe mix of essential oils, it makes a gorgeous room fragrance, too.

I received Philip B. Anti Flake Relief Shampoo and Philip B. Russian Amber Imperial Dry Shampoo.  Before this opportunity, I had never heard of the Philip B. brand. I usually do not brand out to a lot of haircare brands. I buy the brands I can find at the store, especially if they are on sale or I have coupons for. My family and I live frugally compared to others. My husband and I splurge on things when we want but most of the time, we live a modest life.

I’ve been using Philip B. products for about a week now and have seen a nice difference. I love the Anti Flake Relief Shampoo. The product is very light and more liquidy than other shampoos. Before applying, I shake the bottle and then dispense the appropriate amount in my hands. I work up a quick lather and then apply to my scalp and work my way down to the ends of my hair. The shampoo smells nice and very pleasant to use.

My first time trying Dry Shampoo was a disaster. We were driving for several hours and by the time we arrived at the hotel, we were exhausted. I decided to try dry shampoo in order to skip taking a shower. Well, the dry shampoo was white and it made my hair look grey, sticky and stiff. I tried “brushing it through” my hair but that didn’t work. I ended up showering that night. Since dry shampoo does not go well with those with dark hair, I prefer not to use the product unless it is specifically made for dark hair.

When I saw that I received the Russian Amber Imperial Dry Shampoo, I was a little disappointed until I read that I can also use the product as a room fragrance! I like to spray a bit throughout our home to freshen up the air. Since it is a dry shampoo, I decided to try it on my hair. I shake the bottle and then spray throughout my hair. So far, no issues with my hair looking grey at the roots. The hair is left smelling clean and fresh.
