Passion Behind The Style

Passion Behind The Style

Beauty Brite Disclosure

When it comes to fashion and style, we opt for what is practical and affordable. I tend to shop at the same few stores for clothing. Even for our son, since he is growing, I aim to buy his clothes at only a few stores.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Life is Good lifestyle brand. We have a few t-shirts and tees from their line, such as their Autism Awareness Tees and Positive State Tees. The Autism Awareness line hits close to home with our son having Autism. He was diagnosed when he was 4 years old. As soon as he was diagnosed, we embraced everything. We gathered information and absorbed the entire new path that was upon us.

The Positive State Tees were introduced around the time of our crazy election. There was so much stress and hate going around on social media and our world. It was so sad. Instead of stewing in the negativity, Life is Good created a positive vibe fashion line!

How amazing is that?

Better Together Collection Tees

Now, Life is Good launched their Better Together Collection that celebrates inclusivity. We should be celebrating our uniqueness. Our looks, our manners, our voice makes us who we are.

Keep It Colorful tee

I love my Keep It Colorful tee. It is very feminine, lightweight and fits perfectly! I am all about celebrating everything that makes us different from others.

My husband loves his We’re All Mutts tee as well. His collection of tee are mostly from the Life is Good brand! Since he works full time, he has mostly polo and dress shirts to wear for work. I am so thankful my husband and I think alike when it comes to accepting anyone and everyone. We don’t judge people on their looks, manners or fashion. If people are nice to us, we are the same back!

U-Lace

With our son having Autism, he’s always worn velcro shoes. As he gets older, it’s getting harder to find shoes that are velcro friendly. That’s where U-Lace comes in! Raising a child with Autism is certainly not easy but it is the only life we know. Teaching our son to tie his shoes is something we never thought about doing. I am so thankful there is such a product like U-Lace. Instead, we always chose to buy him velcro shoes. The same goes for his clothing, we keep it simple.

U-Laces shoes and laces

U-Lace allows you to essentially turn any shoe into a slip-on shoe. I love my Skechers shoes because they have bungee cords and they are easy to slip-on. I remember looking at my shoes and wishing I could find my son shoes (just like my Skechers).

Wearing U-Laces

Here is a picture of our son wearing his first pair of shoes with U-Lace! These are his first non-velcro shoes ever! He’s never had such stylish shoes before.

Clipa Collage

I keep my purse very close to me, even when we are out at a restaurant. I don’t like the idea of putting my purse on the table (where we eat, nor will I put my purse on the ground (where everyone steps). Both options sound disgusting to me in their own ways.

Meet the Clipa!

Clipa

I adore the many uses for the Clipa, such as:

  • Hang your bag in the car
  • From a table
  • Over a handrail
  • Bathroom stall

The Clipa can be kept on your wrist or on your handbag strap when not in use. Either way, it is stylish and keeps your bag from touching dirty surfaces.

You can find U-Lace on their website, Facebook, and Twitter.

You can find Life is Good on their website, Facebook, and Twitter.

  5. I think the Life is good brand is what we all could use a little more of. During the election I literally wondered where are morals and values went. When did we stop accepting people for who they were and just peacefully coexist? As far as I am concerned we need more life is good and less judgement. What a great concept U-lace came up with I wonder if they thought about all those people who had challenges when they created them. Those laces would be great for people who have arthritis as well, oh and wonderful for pregnant women, I sure wish I had a pair of those back then.
