Neutrogena Sunscreens

I am really looking forward to summer!  We are moving to a new apartment complex and I really want to take my son to the pool this year.  He’s never been swimming in a pool, except a little pool we bought him a few years ago.  I am looking forward to going in the pool with him.  Since I plan on spending time in the sun, I am so excited to receive Neutrogena sunscreens to review!

I received Clear Face (Break-out free) Liquid-Lotion, Sensitive Skin Sunscreen, Ultra Sheer Body Mist, Beach Defense, Wet Skin Kids, and Pure & Free Baby Sunscreen to try!  This year, my entire family will be covered!

Why is sun protection so important?  The following was shared on the Neutrogena Sun Summit: “The brightness of the sun has increased, while the ozone layer has been depleted,” says Dr. Drew Shindell, Scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies.  “So climate change has led to warmer temperatures, which means Spring comes earlier and Fall lasts longer, and people are outside more.  Due to the combination of these environmental and lifestyle changes, current risk of UV is higher than it’s been ever before.”

In years past, I always chose Neutrogena for sunscreen because of their SPF coverage.  They offer products that are safe for my son’s sensitive skin as well as sunscreen for everyday use.  When the weather warms up, I am always applying sunscreen to my son’s skin and he dislikes it.  I have yet to try the Body Mist but I think it will make applying sunscreen on his skin easier.  It’s quick and easy to use.

I am also looking forward to using Neutrogena Wet Skin Sunscreens that are water-resistant sunscreens.  They are specifically designed to adhere to and protect wet skin.  My son loves playing in the water.  I can only imagine how much fun he will have in the pool!

As always, I love that Neutrogena sunscreens offer broad spectrum sun protection and high SPF options.  Their SPF offers protection with UVA and UVB, which is very important to me when I am looking for sunscreens to use.  Even when I shop for sunglasses, I always look for labels that say “UVA and UBV protection.”  They are non-greasy, nonshiny, and ultra-light formula that doesn’t feel like traditional sunscreen.

Sun protection has always been important to me.  I grew up with a pool in my background.  We always had to apply sunscreen before we went swimming.  I grew up using sunscreen before going in the pool.
