Mistresses (UK Version)

This past weekend, I cheated!  I am addicted to Mistresses and I knew that the UK had the original version of their own. In the past, I have seen the title on our Netflix but did not give it a second thought.  Well, this weekend, I ended up watching all 6 episodes!  Unfortunately, it seems the UK version only made it to 6 episodes.

Now that Desperate Housewives is off the air, I hope that Mistresses will do very well with ratings.  I just love scandals, lies and secrets!  I don’t have that kind of drama in my real life, so watching it on TV is fine with me.

I do not like real life drama, it would be too stressful for me.  Being a wife and mom, I just do not have time for games, drama, lies or secrets.  I have a husband that I can love and trust.  We have the same values of life, marriage, family, etc. We both love and adore each other and our son.  Raising our son (who has Autism and special needs) takes two people.  We are trying to provide him with a somewhat-stable home environment.  We may move too often, but we are trying to provide for our family.

As for my new favorite show, Mistresses, I feel like I cheated by watching the UK version.  I needed my fix of drama!  However, there are a lot of similarities between the two shows.  Some of the characters have the same names, they did change the characters occupations and situations.  It will be interesting to see how the US version will play out, now that I have seen the UK version.  Watching the UK version, I feel like I got a little peek into the future.  The US version may play out with similar storylines.

What are some of your favorite TV shows?  What shows are you watching on Netflix?

I started watching Mistresses – I like Alisa Milano very much – I am also watching Major Crimes and Burn Notice.

I haven’t seen this yet but I have heard lots about it. Looks like it would be a great show to watch this summer while all my regular favorites are on reruns.
