Since I started working, I have not had any time for my workouts. By the time I get home in the evenings, I am so exhausted. I have other obligations, such as family, blog, and personal time.
When I get home, my concern is allowing my husband time to for him. I focus on doing a little cleaning, laundry, checking email and updating my blog and social media.
During the weekends, I am so tired from working long hours. I hope to stay active during the week now.
Today on my lunch break, I finally took the time to check out the health and wellness room at work. They have two machines, one is an elliptical and one is a similar to a bike, but you sit down low, so you work your legs. I tried the elliptical machine for the first time. I realize I need to work on my stamina.
It seems safer and more convenient to workout indoors, rather than walk around the block outside. Plus, the room is air conditioned. The room also has a television and DVD player. I can easily bring a yoga mat and yoga or pilates DVD to do. I can easily squeeze in a yoga or pilates workout in during my lunch hour.
Normally, I am not that hungry for lunch. I have plenty of time to do a quick workout and then return to work.
When do you workout? What workout programs do you do? Before I started working, I used to workout in the morning or early afternoon. I am thrilled that I can do yoga, pilates or a quick workout on the machines. I can easily leave a yoga mat and some workout DVDs at work since I have my own desk. Either way, I will work on getting some exercise in the middle of the day.
