Macadamia Professional launched its Nourishing Moisture line of hair care products in February 2015. It is designed to “infuse optimal moisture levels” into medium to coarse hair textures. Macadamia states that all of their lines of Professional Shampoos and Conditioners are color safe, cruelty-free, free of sulfates/parabens/gluten and are infused with a “gourmand inspired” pecan fragrance to connote edible indulgence and accessible luxury. Further, Macadamia claims that each product contains their exclusive PRO OIL Complex, a blend of therapeutic Macadamia and Argan Oils, rich in Omega 7, 5, 3 and 9 fatty acids. These acids nourish and repair hair from the inside out to renew hair’s natural texture with healthy shine, bounce and manageability. There are three categories of Macadamia Professional hair care products:

          1. Weightless Moisture for Baby Fine to Fine Hair

          2. Nourishing Moisture for Medium to Coarse Hair

          3. Ultra Rich Moisture for Very Coarse to Coiled Hair

I received a 4.2 oz sample bottle of Macadamia Professional Nourishing Moisture Oil Spray for purposes of review. This spray is an ultra-fine mist ideal for Medium hair textures. It is infused with the exclusive PRO OIL Complex that instantly absorbs into hair and scalp, providing moisture, softness, protection and shine. It includes Vitamin E, which hydrates and provides a long-lasting tangle and frizz-free finish. It offers natural UV protection and extends the life of hair color. This 4.2 oz bottle retails for $31.95 USD.

My Thoughts: First of all, I will not use a product that does not smell good to me on my hair. Period. I have very long hair and to smell a product that I don’t like every time I turn my head is a definite dealbreaker. So, the first thing I did was twist off the lid of the Macadamia Oil Spray to see what it smelled like. It has (in my opinion) a very pleasant scent — score for the product! Next, as I mentioned, I have very long hair. It’s been a Long Time since I got it cut. I know, bad. So, anyway, that means it’s dry and brittle at the ends and easily tangles. A real nightmare. I desperately need to get about 6 inches cut off of the length, not only because it’s hard to manage, but because it’s so long it’s hard to get it all off my face and neck without it just looking ridiculous. LOL

So, the purpose of the spray, for me, is to help make it more manageable until I can get around to getting it cut. After about two weeks of using it daily, I can say that it has literally worked wonders for me. I am finding that I am able to comb through the long tresses of hair much more easily and it feels softer and healthier than it has in a long time. And the frizz (a constant irritation) is now pretty much a thing of the past. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to try this product. The product review opportunity came at just the most opportune moment. I have recommended this product to several friends who have similar hair issues.

Thank you, Macadamia Professional, for the opportunity to try the Nourishing Oil Spray. I am sold on it and plan to continue to use it in the future!!!
