Every weekend, I like to take the time for my indoor jungle. I love to prune, rearrange and water my plants. It is always good to rotate my plants so that all sides get sunlight. Taking care of my plants on my days off is calming to me. I love taking care of my plants since it gives me a sense of purpose. I love seeing my plants grow bigger and look so healthy. In a way, my indoor garden is my therapy!
I have been obsessed with succulents lately until this weekend. I will continue to nurture the succulents I have, however I have rediscovered my love for African violets. Before I was married and while I was dating my boyfriend (now husband), I had several African violets. I even had several leaves growing babies. I had African violets growing in my kitchen where I had a grow light because my apartment had very limited space and not enough light. Back then, I rarely had my African violets bloom.
This weekend, I realized how important it is to have a well known grower of African violets. I have 2 African violets, one is a name brand grower and the other is from an unknown grower. The name brand grower plant is thriving like crazy. Both plants are watered with the same fertilizer and have the same lighting.
I have been wanting plants from another name brand grower and found a great deal in their website! I had to make room for more plants, so I had to move my plants around. I told my husband that I wanted to get more African violets and of course, he never stops me from my hobbies.
What are your favorite plants? Do you have an indoor or outdoor garden?
