My Review:

I received an ARC (advanced reader’s copy) of Linked by Judy Serrano.  I feel so honored that Serrano asked me to read her brand new paranormal romance book.  I should mention that I started reading the book before she even sent me the synopsis!

Linked is the fifth book I have read by Judy Serrano.  I know her writing style and I know what a great writer she is.  It is so easy to get lost within the pages.  She has a way of keeping you mesmerized in her storytelling and her characters.  Her characters are easy to like or dislike.

Linked is not your typical paranormal romance novel.  It is definitely not another “teen vampire/werewolf romance story” either.  Serrano adds her own twist and created a very unique paranormal romance story.

From the very first chapter, Serrano introduces a tall, mysterious and handsome Charlie Cross.  What living and breathing woman would not swoon over him?  However, looks can be deceiving.  Daphne is a brand new teacher, she is working as a substitute until she can find a permanent teaching position.  Her best friend, Janice helped her get the Substitute assignment.  However, Janice’s help comes with a price.  Being that Daphne is a new teacher, she seems to be naïve.  She is trying to figure herself out while trying to discover who she can and cannot trust.  Friendships and relationships are put to through the test and she finds out who is true and who is not.

Daphne is a weak character and she is unable to think on her feet.  She appears tough in the beginning but after that, she is weak and helpless.  She quickly learns to depend on the man who can protect her at the time.  She enjoys playing the victim but secretly keeps every guy in the palm of her hand.  Daphne is the type of character you love to hate and hate to love.

Charlie is quite the character.  He is a strong and powerful vampire.  He is friends with Heathcliff ad they are both seeing Daphne.  Daphne decides to play them both until one starts to cause a little trouble.

Linked is mixed with romance, mystery, suspense and drama!  You cannot go wrong when you read a book by Judy Serrano.  Her stories are easy to get lost in.
