By AJ Nuest
About the book:
Haunted by nightmares, tormented by guilt, Jezebel came to Redemption Ranch to escape the past-except now she’s stuck in the middle of nowhere with no redemption in sight. When her mother pushes her into riding lessons with local veterinarian Matthias Saunders, Jezebel balks. Sure, the doctor is gorgeous, but he’s completely obnoxious and knows how to push every one of her buttons.
Only her deep connection with The Reverend, a gentle stallion who guards her darkest secrets, has her agreeing to spend any more time with Dr. Saunders. Caring for the stallion is the first bright spot in her life in months, and if being around the horse means she has to deal with Matthias Saunders, then so be it. Surely a city girl like her can handle one country vet-even one with disturbing blue eyes. Can’t she?

Jezebel’s Wish by AJ Nuest, follows Jezzy through her healing journey after she suffers the loss of her fiancé, Jeffrey. This book caught my attention right away. I didn’t want to put this book down, as each page pulled me deeper in to the story. You will disagree with Jezzy’s decisions and actions. You will also laugh, cry, and fall in love right along with her. I felt every emotion Jezzy did as I read this book! As I read Jezebel’s Wish, I reminisced about when my husband and I were dating. When I found my love, I knew right away and the “getting to know each other” was icing on the cake.
Matthias “Matty” Saunders is the type of guy most women want to meet! I am lucky enough to be married to my own Matty. Matty loves with his whole being and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is genuine, true, and an all around sweet guy.
AJ doesn’t come right out and tell us what happened to Jezzy’s fiancé — you have to keep reading to find out! As you get deeper into the story, you will learn what type of person Jeffrey was.
Jezzy meets Matty at a time when she’s healing/regrouping and unsure if she can welcome love in her life. Jezzy puts Matty through the ring but he takes it all in stride. She is unsure if she deserves this loving and caring man in her life and pushes him away. She doubts herself, her fiancé, and Matty’s love until she discovers the truth. The truth allows her to move forward. The truth does set you free!
This book will make you cry and keep you reading until the end. This is a must read!
