First, Isabella gets Baxter dressed…TWICE! Next they have a snack, but not without a CRASH and a BANG. And that’s just the beginning. Join Isabella in her very first picture book filled with lots of humor and adventure as she tries to keep Baxter from making a bigger mess.

About the Author: Melissa Perry Moraja, Founder of Melissa Productions, Inc and Mom’s Choice Awards recipient, is an entrepreneurial mom, a multifaceted, business woman, and a creative producer, authoring and illustrating numerous children’s books and self-help books. She has written articles, been interviewed on television, spoken in front of hundreds of people, and successfully achieved two degrees (undergraduate degree in finance and graduate degree in marketing – both summa cum laude).

Melissa believes in family and raising children in a creative, loving, and inspirational environment. She herself has four young children (11 year old boy, 10 year old boy/girl twins, and a three year old) that have truly helped her continue seeing the world through a child’s eyes–pure creative imagination! In 2007, Melissa made a decision to leave her six-salary career at IBM to become a full-time mom, while pursuing her passion as a children’s author, speaker, and consultant.

Melissa spends her personal time coaching soccer and fastpitch softball, painting, playing guitar, and coming up with fun art projects for she and her kids. She also blogs for Working Mother blog, has guest blogged for Charlotte Observer Mom’s Charlotte, and has her own personal blog at Not Your Ordinary Psychic Mom.

Melissa’s greatest accomplishment is her children. They are the ones who inspire her to go after her dreams and to make a positive difference in the orld. And one difference that she is committed to is volunteering, building awareness and fundraising for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). Her twin daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes November 4, 2011.

My Thoughts: I had a lot of fun reading this story to my 6-yr-old niece, and she enjoyed it, as well. I loved that the pages were so full of color and that the characters had such funny adventures together. The illustrations are well-drawn and go along well with the story. My niece’s favorite part of the story was when the crackers got spilled all over the floor. Those are my niece’s favorite snacks and she laughed so hard she almost spilled her own bowl of fish crackers! Children will love this engaging, fun story, whether it is read to them or they read it on their own.
