I Start My Day With Tea

Earlier this month, I decided to cut down on my coffee intake! I literally have stopped drinking coffee throughout the day. Since then, I have had a few of the blended ice coffee drinks from a fast food place but that is about it. When I did drink coffee, I found myself having on average 2-3 cups of coffee a day! I was drinking more and more because I kept feeling tired, exhausted and needed that boost.

It was a never-ending cycle.

I decided to cut out coffee and start drinking tea again. I missed tea and the many health benefits!

I now start each morning with green tea! I have green tea and peppermint tea on hand to enjoy throughout the day.

I tend to have peppermint tea after eating or in the evening. It helps settle my stomach, improve digestion, relieve stress and more!

With green tea, I enjoy drinking a cup in the morning for that energy boost! I get up super early so I have the time to put on my makeup and do a little blog work first thing. My quiet mornings allow me that time to assess my day and plan what I need to do. As soon as I put my son on the school bus, I like to get my workout done and over with. I seem to have the most energy in the morning! I am currently working my way through Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I love changing up my routine and the 30 Day Shred is really challenging me!

My husband loves his coffee, so we still have our Keurig. Now I use the Keurig to “brew” hot water for my tea!

As much tea as I drink throughout the day, I should starting brewing a whole pot of tea instead! I know some like to add sweetener to their tea but I prefer plain tea. Now that I prefer tea over coffee, I love that tea is travel friendly. If I am away from home at a hotel, all I need to do is “brew” hot water in the coffee maker and I can have tea!

When I drank coffee, I was very picky about what I used to sweeten my coffee. I liked using agave nectar and flavored creamer. I never liked using regular sugar and plain creamer that you would find at a restaurant or hotel room! I know, I am very picky, so I really didn’t drink coffee outside of home.

Tea keeps me going throughout the day. No more sugar crashes and using more sugar to recharge. I use natural tea to keep me energized!
