I got the job!

I got the job

Last week, I mentioned that I received an unexpected phone call regarding a position I applied for back in March and interviewed for in May.

Last Thursday, I received another call from Human Resources and unfortunately I missed the call because I was out on a walk with my son.  I called her back about an hour later and left a message.  She would be out of the office on Friday, so I had to wait until Monday to speak with her.  I called her Monday afternoon and they offered me the position!

I went in to Human Resources to fill out a few forms and they gave me the benefits package to read through and fill out more forms to bring back later.  They also sent me to the drug screening.  Pending the background check and drug screening, they will call me in a few days for the next step.

My husband and I have been going over the medical and dental benefits.  At first, we wanted to sign up for it but now we are re-thinking that.  It is just so much money each month for benefits.  So, that part is still up in the air for us.

Since I will be working full time, I plan on keeping my blog and continue to post reviews and giveaways.  I definitely do not want to let my blog go or even quit.  I may not be able to blog as often as I would like.  I will attempt to find time after work to blog.  It will be a big adjustment to get used to working full time.  I have not had a full time schedule in over 7 years.

As a stay at home mom for the last 7 years (off and on), I feel so odd going back to work.  I am doing this for myself and for my family.  I do know that I need to get out of the house for my own sanity.  I need the adult interaction!

I was a stay at home mom for almost two years. I started my blog Manic Mama of 2 back in January so that I would have an outlet. I am now a full time worker again and my blog has taken a hit. I have just let my readers know like you did that things will be slow during transition. I will have more reviews and life posts for them once I can figure out the best way to schedule those things. I have found that writing posts on weekends and scheduling them to go live during the week while you are not even around the blog is best πŸ™‚ Good luck with the new job!!

      Hi Rebecca

it’s nice to meet another blogger who is working full time… I am not sure how I will be able to keep up either. Thank you for the advice. πŸ˜‰

      • Rebecca Wilson says:

It’s no problem. I have been back working fulltime for only a couple months and I still have not figured it all the way out! You will find something that works for you though πŸ™‚

I am a little worried now. I know I will be so tired after work… I may have to do the weekend blogging and schedule them throughout the week like you! πŸ™‚

  10. I’m sure you’ll be able to do it πŸ˜‰ Congratulations that’s wonderful!
