Fitness Friday

Hello Friday!  It’s Fitness Friday!  How are your workouts going?  I decided to kick it up this week and add Turbo Jam!  What workouts are you doing?

Last weekend, I did a few Turbo Fire and Turbo Jam workouts.  On Monday, I did a 40 minute Turbo Jam workout and it left me feeling sore a few days after.  Unfortunately, I was unable to exercise on Tuesday.  On Wednesday, I felt less sore and decided to do yoga and pilates.

I need to add cardio because I want to strengthen my muscles.  Plus, I would really love to get into Turbo Fire again!  I miss the energy and fun I feel during and after the workouts!  We are moving at the end of May and I want to be able to help my husband move and carry our things.

I have been applying for jobs for over a month now.  I have a job interview next Tuesday for an office assistant position.  I am so excited and happy for the opportunity.  I have applied with this company for over a year with no calls, until this week!  For now, I am thinking positive.  This job would be a great opportunity for me and the schedule would work perfectly with my husband’s part time schedule.  I literally cannot contain my excitement.  I had it narrowed down to what I was going to wear to my interview, but I found another outfit that I could wear.  My two outfits are suits that I wore to a previous job over 10 years ago.  I am surprised they still fit.  I am so glad I kept my suits all of these years.

It has been years since I have been in the work force, but I am hoping for a positive outcome.  I love being a stay at home wife and mom, but I do want to get out of the house too.

    Good luck with the job hunt.I have been doing 2 Denise Austins DVD’S.The first one is Get Fit Daily Dozen,12 min workouts.These go by the day of the week and have extras to add on.The other is Fit in a Flash.These are 7 min each,aerobic and toning,beginners and advanced with arms,legs and abs to add on.Don’t be fooled ,they are bother tough workouts,I can’t believe Denise is 57 years old!She only looks 30!I also walk anywhere from 30 min to an hour on a short day!Also an extra ab workout during night time t v!

      Thank you for stopping by! I love Denise Austin. I love doing her pilates and yoga videos on youtube. I used to watch her on Lifetime. Just love her!!!

    I wish you luck with your interview! I can imagine you’ll stress about it all weekend, but maybe that isn’t a bad thing – you’ll have your “spiel” down pat. For my exercise, I stick with Pilates (3-4x per week, 40 mins) and walking (3-4x per week, mindfully!).

  3. Best of wishes to you! It can be stressful to go to an interview, but I am sure it will be fine! As to my workouts, I am trying to add more strength training.
