Feel Fresh-Faced and Sleek for Summer

Feel Fresh Faced and Sleek For Summer

Beauty Brite Disclosure

When it comes to magazines’ summer content, there are two things that can be clearly detected in virtually every photo. One: the models’ faces are slender and happy. Two: their hair is flowing, wild and free, in their faces. De-puffed faces, most of us can get on board with; but having hair in your face, particularly on a day in one of the sweatiest seasons? No thank you!

Phunkshun was kind enough to send me a headband, specifically designed for athletic activities. These headbands are made in Colorado from recycled bottles (how cool is that?!) and come in a variety of styles and colors–mine is a chic blue-and white, and its flexibility makes it a perfect one-size-fits-all product! Now I can bike without any of those ever-so irritating strands of sweat-slicked hair that make their way out from under my helmet. The headband is comfortable, stylish, and–just like its clever name would suggest–functional!

As for the more desirable aspect of summer magazine photos–de-puffed eyes–I was more than happy to try LoveBud’s Puff Puff Past Eye Cream with hemp seed oil. I had never tried a cream with this particular ingredient, so I was intrigued to see its results! The pump-bottle seems to do well when stored in the refrigerator, and I found that only one small pump was really needed for both eyes. The vegan cream comes out as a brownish-yellow, thick liquid, and I patted it all over my lids and under my eyes. Puff Past claims that this cream will help with both under-eye puffiness AND under-eye circles, which is a huge achievement! After all, while there may be countless tutorials for hiding under-eye circles, there’s really not much (aside from cold spoons, cucumbers, or potato slices being applied for some length of time) for under-eye BAGS.

While the cream feels soothing–despite its slightly strong smell of hay–and did not irritate my sensitive skin, it didn’t make a noticeable difference immediately. If you have puffy eyes and need an immediate method to fix the problem, I’d recommend using the above-mentioned methods ( aka cold compresses) instead. But, long-term, applying this cream twice a day to “clean, dry skin” should make a difference! Go to this product for your everyday product applications, instead of saving it for puff-puff-emergencies, and watch your dark circles or puffiness decrease over time! The wait for results may be longer, but the results will be more effective.

Summer can be a time of relaxation, but it can also be a time of pressure: pressure to look both perfect and effortless. That effortless perfection is not necessarily easy to achieve a summer look, but with Phunkshun’s great headbands and LoveBud’s hemp seed oil eye creme, you can ensure that you look and feel your best!
