Earth Day Beauty Picks

Earth Day Beauty Picks

Beauty Brite Disclosure
With Earth Day right around the corner, I am always reminded of why I make my own laundry soap and use green-friendly methods to clean around our home. When I was asked to share amazing brands that take continuous steps to improve the environment and our communities, I knew I wanted to participate. I received a variety of products to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

This year, Earth Day is April 22nd. About 5 or 6 years ago we went to an Earth Day event in our local city. The one thing I remember was that there wasn’t anything my son could participate in. There were plenty of activities, but he would not be interested in them. He has Autism, so we are always looking for activities that are suitable for all of us. I also remember a representative at one of the tables was so rude to me. I would love to attend a much bigger Earth Day event as the one we went to only had a few tables and activities. The tables were so far apart, but when I look back, I think they did that to make their event look much bigger than it actually was.

The following beauty brands not only care about providing premium products with formulas that actually work, but also make it a priority to use natural ingredients, package with sustainable/recyclable materials, or contribute to global charities. I received Mineral Fusion SPF 15 Brightening Moisturizer, Hammam Body Mud, Hello Toothpastes and Wet Brush Bamboo Earth.

Ready in a pinch

I am always looking for a fabulous moisturizer that I can use for any weather. I prefer to use a moisturizer that has SPF protection. The Mineral Fusion SPF 15 Brightening Moisturizer is awesome. I realized that a little bit goes a long way. The moisturizer is thick on goes on thick and takes a few minutes to absorb into my skin. I only need to use a little dab for my face another dab for my neck. After it fully absorbs, it works perfectly under makeup. This moisturizer is all natural, not tested on animals, hypo-allergenic, 100% Vegan, and is gluten, paraben, artificial color, talc, & fragrance –free.

I love spoiling myself with at-home spa treatments such as mud masks! I love the Hammam Body Mud! I apply it in the shower, leave on my skin for a few minutes and then rinse away. This exfoliating mud stimulates circulation by removing dead skin cells using this combination of pure Chinese Clay and eucalyptus. My skin feels amazing afterwards. I feel so pampered after treating my skin to the body mud.

hello toothpaste

I have heard of the Hello brand because I reviewed the Hello Breathspray awhile back. I loved the little containers because they easily fit in my purse or at my desk. I received Hello Toothpastes in Mojito Mint and Pink Grapefruit Mint toothpastes to try. The first thing I noticed about them is that they are ADA accepted. I always look for that seal when I buy toothpaste for my family. The tastes of the toothpastes are very mild but refreshing. My teeth and mouth feel so clean afterward! The tube is easy to use and does not get all over the place. All hello products are free of artificial sweeteners, triclosan, alcohol and dyes, plus they’re vegan and cruelty-free. Being such “free” products, it’s only natural that hello is also made in the USA.

I love Wet Brush products! You can see my previous Wet Brush reviews here. I have my whole family using Wet Brushes. My husband uses a blue one. I use a smaller version of the Wet Brush on my son’s hair when he needs it. I love Wet Brushes because I can use them on wet and dry hair. I can literally use my Wet Brush to comb through my hair after showering. I love my Wet Brush Bamboo Earth from the Earth Collection. It is made with eco-friendly and sustainable bamboo.
