I have tried yoga in the past and did not really understand it. I was unable to get into it because I thought it was too slow moving for me. After I read an eye opening book about yoga, I was hooked. I realized that I need to give yoga a try. I do need yoga in my life, which is why I was so thrilled for the opportunity to review DDP Yoga. I was sent the DDP Yoga program from the company to review!
After reading Yoga For Beginners, it was like a light bulb went off for me. The day after I finished reading the book, I quickly looked online for free yoga workouts! I wanted to try them all. I even bookmarked several workouts to rotate them so I do not get bored.
When I heard about DDP Yoga, I knew I wanted to try it. I could relate to Diamond Dallas Page in a way. I realize that I did not understand the meaning and the benefits behind yoga. I also did not want to be “yet another to jump on the yoga bandwagon.” However, unfortunately, I did and I am hooked.
As stated on the DDP Yoga website:
DDP Yoga is not traditional yoga, it’s a hybrid workout that incorporates some traditional yoga movements and adds dynamic resistance, active breathing techniques and power movements to make for a more challenging and results oriented workout.
When you do a search on youtube for DDP Yoga, you will quickly find the video about Arthur. This is a must watch! If Arthur can do it, anyone can!
Even though, I am a little over a month into the DDP Yoga program, I love the workouts! Diamond Dallas Page is motivating, positive and upbeat. He keeps you going and so relatable. He reminds the viewer to drink water and take breaks when we need to.
I am the type of person who prefers to workout at home. I do not like going to a gym or workout in public. At home, I can be as goofy as I want. I can take my time and go at my own pace without worrying about someone else judging my workout.
I have always loved pilates, but I am now a yoga fan as well!
DDP Yoga incorporates cardio and dynamic resistance with yoga. When I do DDP Yoga, I feel energized and upbeat. My body feels relaxed and ready for anything. I can do DDP Yoga in the morning or evening or anytime in between. It helps me take on my day or relax for the evening. It is the perfect workout program for me.
Another benefit that I love about DDP Yoga is that the workouts are not long and drawn out. The workouts are 30 minutes or less. Plus, the workout schedule has you working out only 3 days a week with an optional fourth day! The workout is so customizable that I can add additional workouts to my day or week. If I want more, I can always do other workouts. I find DDP Yoga so easy to add to my busy life.
