Further, the bulk of the information presented in this review is contained in the brochure I received with the free sample or as found on the company website — Clearista.com. The section entitled “My Thoughts” is my personal opinion of the product.

The Clearista Retexturizing Gel TM is a safe, non-invasive skincare breakthrough that effectively reduces the appearance of a wide range of raised and/or pigmented skin imperfections such as sunspots, benign skin growths, discolorations, rough or dry patches, and small red or flesh colored bumps on arms and face. Clearista™ Retexturizing Gel contains safe proprietary ingredients plus mild, biodegradable abrasives that enhance the skin’s normal exfoliation processes. The result of this clinically proven solution is more radiant, youthful looking skin.
Clearista Retexturizing Gel was developed to address forms of Keratosis such as Keratosis Pilaris and Seborrheic Keratosis. Keratosis Pelaris, often called the “acne impersonator” or “chicken skin” is one of the most common types of keratosis blemishes. It is most commonly seen on the back and arms, but may also present on the thighs, low backside and face. This form of keratosis blemish affects 50-80% of adolescents and 30-40% of adults. Seborrheic Keratosis (SK) most often impacts adults age 40 and over. Sometimes called the “barnacle of the skin,” this form of keratosis presents as a rough, pigmented, mole-like blemish that can be found almost anywhere on the body.

The Clearista Resurfacing Pen can be used alongside the Clearista Retexturizing Gel.

1. Apply the gel to clean skin and let soak for 1-2 minutes to begin the TCX process.

2. Apply pressure to the blemished area with an applicator or your finger tips, using circular motions to encourage additional exfoliation. Massage the gel into the skin until the gel is no longer present.

3. Continue the TCX process until the visual appearance of the blemish is diminished or the skin is smoother to the touch. Rinse the area with water to remove any residual exfoliant or gel. For best results, you may use up to twice daily on clean skin. Discontinue immediately if any irritation occurs.

My Thoughts: I took before and after photos of an area of discoloration that I had on my chin that I chose to try to diminish by using the Clearista Retexturizing Gel. However, my phone decided to die and is currently languishing at a repair shop waiting to see if it can be revived. So, I am unable to include these personal photos in my review. But, what I can say is that I did see a bit of a difference in the coloration of the dark patch. Though it can still be seen, it is lighter than before I started using the Clearista Retexturizing Gel and I am pleased with the results.
