With spring less than five days away, it’s time to give my wardrobe an update. I’m ready to mix more vibrant colors with classic basics. I’m also ready to add some more sustainable designers to my style choices. One such company that meets both of those needs is planet-friendly prAna.
Who hates carrying those little jars of baby food around? *Raises hand* I know I sure do. I have enough stuff weighing down my diaper bag without the added weight of those pesky jars. Amara Organic Baby Food is a really good on-the-go option to have healthy food on hand without the weight that commercial jarred baby foods can add to an already weighty diaper bag…. [read more]
Discovery. Union. Compassion. These were the three words that greeted me when I opened my BBEO box from BuddhiBoxes. I couldn’t wait to see what this subscription to pure Zen had brought my way.
If you’re not familiar with BuddhiBox, it was founded by yoga teacher, yogini, entrepreneur, and resilient dreamer Maxine Chapman. Maxine wanted to share her favorite yogi finds with the world. Every product included in the various subscription boxes the site offers are cruelty-free and ethically sourced. And each month, a portion of the sales from Buddhibox help support the work of a variety of global charitable organizations.
I’m a big fan of subscription boxes, but I’m an even bigger fan of companies who care about the products they are sending subscribers and who support charity. It’s just another reason to feel pure Zen about the BBEO BuddhiBox.
The BBEO box is a monthly subscription filled with essential oils, a healing crystal, meditation and extra sample goodies. It was created to inspire all of us busy women to take some time out to recharge our mind, body, and soul. It’s also ideal for anyone interested in learning more about essential oils, crystals, and meditation.
My BBEO box included a Raw Rose Quartz Crystal, Quintessentials Anahata Essential Oil Blend and Organic Geranium Oil Sample, Chuao Chocolatier Choco-Pod, and Bonus Anahata Chakra Affirmation Sticker and Meditation.
I’m kind of a newbie to crystals, so I don’t know much about the power of the rose quartz. I immediately loved the calming rosy, pink color. I learned from the enclosed box card that the Rose Quartz is the stone of the heart. It’s a crystal of unconditional love. As such, it carries a soft feminine energy of compassion and peace, tenderness and healing, nourishment and comfort. I feel those vibes each time I gaze at the crystal on my desk.
The Anahata Chakra Affirmation Sticker and Meditation also tie into the unconditional love theme of the box. It reminds us all that, “I can love & be loved, I forgive. I am caring.” The sticker was designed by Jenn Morgan, The Soul Filled Yogi and BuddhiBox ambassador. I’m curious to explore the rest of the set and the meditations, which can be found on the Buddhibox website, for some inspiration and pure Zen.
Next up in my box was a roller ball filled with the Quintessentials Anahata (Compassionate Energy) Essential Oil Blend as well as a sample of their Organic Geranium Oil. The Anahata rollerball features a pure rose blend designed to stimulate the 4th chakra, the heart. It may increase your ability to give and receive love and uplift your vibration to higher frequencies. Maybe I should wear this blend the next time I do online dating or go on a date. I could use some pure Zen and an uplifted vibrating frequencies to handle my matches.
Although I loved the scent of the Anahata blend, the Geranium sample was a bit overpowering for me. I’m not a big floral person, especially since I’m allergic to most flowers. Geranium is supposed to uplift and connect you to your heart center. It may also help balance hormones, relieve stress, minimize inflammation, and improve circulation.
As a chocolate lover, I was thrilled to see a sample of the Chuao Salted Chocolate Crunch bar. If you haven’t tried Chuao bars before, you are missing a unique chocolate experience. This sample features a dark chocolate bar filled with crunchy, toasted breadcrumbs and dusted with sea salt. Simply speaking, it’s divine.
After sampling my first BBEO box, I’m also curious to see what the coming months will bring.

How do you find pure Zen? What is your favorite piece in the BBEO box?
I despise cleaning. I really do. When I do clean, I use eco-friendly products. I’ve tried the chemical cleaners and it is so tempting to just buy the brands you see at the store but they usually irritate my eyes, lungs and make me dizzy.
Have you noticed all the rage with essential oils and diffusers? I got into them when I had my first massage about a year ago! After going to the spa as soon as I went in the smell was amazing and I noticed all the diffusers going and the shelves of essential oils. After the relaxing feeling I got from it I knew it was something that I had to have.
Do you have children or pets in your home? Do you know that just from moping the floor with certain chemicals it can be harmful to you children that crawl on the floor and even to your pets paws? I am going to let you know of a few alternative products that will allow you to keep your home safe from chemicals but deliver the results you need to keep a clean house!
Being in my 30’s and not having any children yet, my fur babies are my world and they are our children for now. Some of my older friends that don’t have children consider their dogs their children and pamper them more than some people do their own kids. I’m going to let you know of some items we spoiled our dogs with this year and maybe some of them will be appealing to you and your four legged family members.
I happen to be the Mom who spends most of her time cooking tasty treats in the kitchen for my family and friends. I personally enjoy cooking and love all things food related! Cooking is such a passion; then we sit down at the table and share about our day. What was our “highs” and “lows” for the day? After dinner, we usually enjoy some great desserts. Even though I love cooking, I have a hard time “baking”. I never buy the right things and just have a hard time creating delicious masterpieces. Baking has NOT been my favorite part of being in the kitchen, I decided to try and fool proof baking box called, Rise Baking.
Are you a tea drinker or a coffee drinker or do you enjoy both? About over a year ago I decided to give up coffee due to the caffeine intake and being a hyper person already I wanted to switch to something else. Hot tea is what I decided on and over a year later I am in love with trying all the flavors out there and I drink it from the time I get up until the time I go to bed with only water in-between.
