We were homeowners once. We bought our home during the housing bubble when mortgage companies using “creative financing” to practically give home loans away.
The last time I went back home for a family funeral, it really hit me how much I have become a black sheep of the family. It made me realize that I feel more at home with my immediate family.
Every year I struggle what to give my mother for Mother’s Day. She is my best friend, my rock, my son’s beloved grandmother and nothing seems to measure up. We do everything from traveling to shopping together and I could never thank her enough for that. Luckily for me she has a great sense of humor and a sweet tooth! This year we decided to treat her to gourmet, Bauli Mini Croissants for Mother’s Day!
Mother’s Day is celebrated once a year. Every May, we are reminded to think about our Moms. This year, I wanted to do something nice for my own mom! It’s been a rough couple of years for our family.
Last year around this time, my family and I made a big shift. I was working full time while my husband was working part time and going to school full time. I had just switched jobs and ended up quitting that job. I went back to being a full time stay at home mom, wife and blogger. My husband was able to get full time hours at his job. This was a huge shift for us because I was working full time for over two years while my husband was working part time.
Do you communicate more with people online or offline?
My online and offline world collide in so many ways. I use my online world to blog about my offline world, check emails, social media and anything else that is happening in the world. As for my offline world, I do like to blog about it, especially if something interesting happened. They are different in that when I am not connected to the online world, I take the opportunity to enjoy the quiet time.
If I am being honest, I really am afraid to count how many times I check my phone throughout the day! Have you ever counted the number of times you have checked your phone?
Have you ever thought about when you arrive at appointments, dates or scheduled meetings? Do you tend to show up on-time, late or too early? For me, I prefer to show up early or on-time! It is just how I was raised. My parents always showed up to family gatherings, appointments and such a little early.
