It’s been my goal to go and work out at least three days per week. While some workouts are a little mild, others are a little more intense. I’ve never been a fan of leaving the gym looking like a hot mess. I feel great after working out, and I want to look that way, too. In a few easy steps you can achieve that look right at the gym using these handy Conair, Scünci, MakeupDrop, and Batiste products that I’ve found to be very easy and effective!
Whether we like it or not, the ritual of spring cleaning has been around for centuries. I’ll be the first to admit, whenever I hear the term “spring cleaning”, I roll my eyes. I mean we clean our homes all the time, why do we need a huge seasonally related overhaul. I especially dread the overpowering aroma of chemical cleaning products. There must be a better way, which is why I’m giving my spring cleaning a natural refresh.
I know we have all been there; kids are like tiny ticking time bombs just waiting to explode. Children are also nasty little creatures who all love to share their germs and sickness with everyone. I may have the answer to your problems. Have you ever tried Essential Oils on your children? I’ll Show you how to combat everything from tantrums to seasonal sniffles.
Whether you are a traveler or just looking for some new routines to boost your facial appearance, I am going to let you know of some wonderful products that could work out great for you!
What a month it’s been. Earlier this month, I went on my first press junket on the West Coast. By the time I got home, I needed some time to decompress and get back into the swing of things, so I am thankful that the March box arrived a bit later than usual. March’s theme is “Be Dramatic.” This month is all about the eyes!
Sometimes changing up the products you use can generate big results! Looking for some fun, new products to try this Spring? Here’s a few of my favorites that have really worked great for me!
Skin care is a topic that I find myself becoming more interested in all the time, now that I’m in my forties. I still enjoy relatively clear, smooth skin. But, I do have some slight sun damage on my cheeks from past sunburns and have noticed the skin (mostly around my eyes) getting a little less elastic.
I’m not really picky about whether I try skin care lines that are all natural or whether they are developed with some chemical ingredients. I know some women do have definite preferences when it comes to the ingredients in their skin care, though. Here, for your consideration, I am offering up my experiences with two skin care lines I have recently given a test drive, True Results Retinol Active and ELEWA Natural.
Growing up I never gave too much thought to the type of cleanser I used on my face. As long as my face was clean I was happy. However, as I got older I realized I needed more than clean skin. I wanted a product that refreshed, hydrated, and treated my skin to some beneficial ingredients. I now have it all with Snowberry Gentle Cleanse & Tone and Instant Deep Cleanser.
Founded in New Zealand, Snowberry is all about creating premium natural anti-aging skincare. Their products are designed to combat the effects of free radicals, dehydration, and discoloration, just to name of a few. Perhaps this is why they won the 2011 Discover Beauty Award at Cosmoprof USA.
One of my favorite aspects of the Snowberry skincare line is the fact their products are free of parabens, fragrance, artificial colors, alcohols, or petrochemicals. Every product is also dermatologist tested, but not tested on animals. Snowberry is also the first skincare company in New Zealand to receive the carboNZeroCert™ certification. This means they have a low carbon footprint and strive to be a more environmentally sustainable company.
After reading about Snowberry, I was excited to try their Gentle Cleanse & Tone and Instant Deep Cleanser.
When you have sensitive, dry skin like I do, you want a cleanser that is gentle and doesn’t strip your skin of moisture. The Gentle Cleanse & Tone does exactly what its name says, cleanses and tones.
This is thanks to ingredients like:
- Plant saponins from the nut of the soap tree
- Kiwi fruit, kumquat and green pea protein extracts
- Naturally humectant vegetable glycerin, vitamin E and oil from the Andiroba tree nut
Each time I use the Gentle Cleanse & Tone my skin always feels hydrated, replenished, and nice and smooth. I never have to worry about any skin irritation or that dry, tight sensation some cleansers cause.
I also tested out the Snowberry Instant Deep Cleanser. Known as “the supernatural cleanser and makeup remover,” by Snowberry insiders, this cleanser uses highly concentrated oils to cleanse and re-hydrate skin.
The cleanser features a blend of:
- Macadamia nut oil
- Indian neem oil
- Inca Inchi oil
- Lingonberry oil
- Coenzyme Q10
Even though the Instant Deep Cleanser is formulated with oils, it can be used on all skin types. It worked well on my dry skin. I only need a few pumps to remove all my makeup and get my skin nice and clean. But what I love most is how my skin feels after I use the product; soft and smooth. It also doesn’t irritate my eyes, which is especially nice when I need to remove my eye makeup.
After using the Snowberry Gentle Cleanse & Tone and the Instant Deep Cleanser, my skin is getting more from my cleansing routine. It no longer feels stripped of moisture or dulled after cleansing. Instead, my skin is soft and smooth and has a nice healthy glow.

Discovery. Union. Compassion. These were the three words that greeted me when I opened my BBEO box from BuddhiBoxes. I couldn’t wait to see what this subscription to pure Zen had brought my way.
If you’re not familiar with BuddhiBox, it was founded by yoga teacher, yogini, entrepreneur, and resilient dreamer Maxine Chapman. Maxine wanted to share her favorite yogi finds with the world. Every product included in the various subscription boxes the site offers are cruelty-free and ethically sourced. And each month, a portion of the sales from Buddhibox help support the work of a variety of global charitable organizations.
I’m a big fan of subscription boxes, but I’m an even bigger fan of companies who care about the products they are sending subscribers and who support charity. It’s just another reason to feel pure Zen about the BBEO BuddhiBox.
The BBEO box is a monthly subscription filled with essential oils, a healing crystal, meditation and extra sample goodies. It was created to inspire all of us busy women to take some time out to recharge our mind, body, and soul. It’s also ideal for anyone interested in learning more about essential oils, crystals, and meditation.
My BBEO box included a Raw Rose Quartz Crystal, Quintessentials Anahata Essential Oil Blend and Organic Geranium Oil Sample, Chuao Chocolatier Choco-Pod, and Bonus Anahata Chakra Affirmation Sticker and Meditation.
I’m kind of a newbie to crystals, so I don’t know much about the power of the rose quartz. I immediately loved the calming rosy, pink color. I learned from the enclosed box card that the Rose Quartz is the stone of the heart. It’s a crystal of unconditional love. As such, it carries a soft feminine energy of compassion and peace, tenderness and healing, nourishment and comfort. I feel those vibes each time I gaze at the crystal on my desk.
The Anahata Chakra Affirmation Sticker and Meditation also tie into the unconditional love theme of the box. It reminds us all that, “I can love & be loved, I forgive. I am caring.” The sticker was designed by Jenn Morgan, The Soul Filled Yogi and BuddhiBox ambassador. I’m curious to explore the rest of the set and the meditations, which can be found on the Buddhibox website, for some inspiration and pure Zen.
Next up in my box was a roller ball filled with the Quintessentials Anahata (Compassionate Energy) Essential Oil Blend as well as a sample of their Organic Geranium Oil. The Anahata rollerball features a pure rose blend designed to stimulate the 4th chakra, the heart. It may increase your ability to give and receive love and uplift your vibration to higher frequencies. Maybe I should wear this blend the next time I do online dating or go on a date. I could use some pure Zen and an uplifted vibrating frequencies to handle my matches.
Although I loved the scent of the Anahata blend, the Geranium sample was a bit overpowering for me. I’m not a big floral person, especially since I’m allergic to most flowers. Geranium is supposed to uplift and connect you to your heart center. It may also help balance hormones, relieve stress, minimize inflammation, and improve circulation.
As a chocolate lover, I was thrilled to see a sample of the Chuao Salted Chocolate Crunch bar. If you haven’t tried Chuao bars before, you are missing a unique chocolate experience. This sample features a dark chocolate bar filled with crunchy, toasted breadcrumbs and dusted with sea salt. Simply speaking, it’s divine.
After sampling my first BBEO box, I’m also curious to see what the coming months will bring.
