I don’t know about you, but 2016 was a long, difficult year for me. There have been a lot of extended family issues to deal with and the cold and flu season has hit my family uncharacteristically hard in recent months. It’s been a bit hard to find the beauty in the world around me, and it’s definitely taken its toll.
It wasn’t so long ago when prepping your skin before applying makeup was simple. For me, it consisted of only applying moisturizer. The idea of a primer or lip treatments weren’t really available or even popular. Today, all of that has changed and I put a lot more pep in my prep.
The holidays have come and gone. The temperatures are plummeting and winter is in full splendor. I don’t know about you, but I could use some extra pampering this time of year. I’ve found just the thing to rescue me from head to toe with cruelty-free products from Beterre Skin+Care.
I got a brand new purse for Christmas this year which forced me to clean out the one I have been carrying around for over a year! I realized I am carrying around so many things that I don’t need to and it is added weight and keeps me from being able to find the items that I need to use. I wanted to clean out and re-fill with things that I will use and need!
When I think of makeup, I never thought to use a men’s product. I admit, I was skeptical but I am all about saving money and helping everyone do the same. When it comes to makeup, primer is one of the most important steps. Primer helps your makeup stay in place all day!
It’s that time of year again: red lips and dark nail polishes abound. Whether we mean to or not, most of us tend to get stuck in some holiday beauty ruts–but it’s easy to change that! This Christmas and New Year’s, go for a different kind of holiday fun (at least on your nails): soft pale glitters. And we’ve got the perfect ones from SpaRitual: vegan, subtle, and–when combined with SpaRitual’s new Unveil Peel-Off Basecoat–able to be removed more easily than any of your typical polishes! Just one layer of Unveil manages to lift those otherwise-intractable glitters from your nails without any nail polish remover (and without any need to rub your fingers raw).
I love mirrors. I wish we could have more mirrors around our home. If it were up to me, I would have a mirror in our entry way. I would also put a mirror in our closet.
With all the stresses of running around during the holiday season shopping for everyone on your list, Its very easy to forget all about yourself! This year I decided I would get something to pamper myself and help alleviate the toll it takes on me trying to prepare! If you would like to know about a few beauty items that will help you stay relaxed and pampered this year stay tuned to find out more!
